Surrounded by thick forest this home is a perfect getaway for those who love the outdoors. Conveniently located 3 miles from the city center of Brevard, NC and less than 10 minutes to Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest, you are located in the middle of every outdoor adventure that you can think of. Additionally, you might even see one of Brevard's notoriously famous white squirrels right outside your window.

We were 1960s college friends gathering to be near friends in Brevard. The house was just right for us. Beautiful setting. White squirrels all around. Indoors everything we needed at our fingertips. Immaculate. Lovely. We had a wonderful time.

The house was immaculate. Not to mention the daily visits from several different deer and white squirrels. My favorite part might have been the record collection! Took me back to my high school days of sitting around with friends listening to the latest albums! Introduced my grandkids to some REAL music. We will definitely book this house again when we come back to the area!

Great house with tons of space! We had everything we needed and were close to Brevard. The house is tucked in the woods in a neighborhood, so we had great visitors like a rabbit and white squirrel! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. We didn’t cook while in town for a summer camp reunion, but we did appreciate the thoughtfulness! The house is 1 mile to Camp Illahee. Great touches like white rabbit stuffies and mugs! The place has 4 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms! There were five of us adult women, and it was super helpful to have beds for everyone! There are also three living spaces. We could spread out! The thoughtful touches also included games and even a karaoke machine. We didn’t use them but noted The house would be tons of fun for someone looking for a mountain family getaway. Jim is super responsive. He replied right away to all of my questions and was accommodating when I requested an extra hour at check in and check out. (Big thanks for that!) Beds were comfortable, too (majorly important!) and Jim even found my missing jacket and sent it to me! Amazing host. Great house! We love Brevard!

This is a wonderful house that exceeded our expectations! Very clean with everything you could need! Lots of fun things to do at the property, including movies, games, books, records and CDs, a Karaoke machine, bikes, Segways, wildlife out the back door, fireplace and fire pit, and plenty of space (and bathrooms) for our family of six. Gift basket with amazing coffee was much appreciated! Very close to all the beautiful waterfalls in the region as well as the Pisgah National Forest, Sliding Rock, and paddling opportunities! Would definitely recommend!

Waterfalls and antiques

The house was very roomy and up to date. The white squirrels seen in the backyard was an exciting experience. Very peaceful location and close to waterfalls and antique shops we would definitely recommend this house and would rent again in the future.

Bushey family at Brevard

Had a wonderful time. Saw 5 very nice waterfalls and one white squirrel. Grandson enjoyed the slide at Sliding Rock falls and we enjoyed checking out Brevard. Got soaked in DuPont Forest but was worth it to see Triple Falls and High Falls. Not sure what it is about waterfalls but they can be memorizing. We lived in Ithaca for awhile and the falls around Brevard are as nice or better. Didn’t have time to check out the record collection but very impressive, but we did enjoy the bumper pool as it being the first time we had tried that game. Hope we have another chance to visit again. Thanks for making it a pleasant experience

4th of July Weekend Stay

Beautiful property, very quiet, and close to everything. Immaculate with great attention to little details. Everything was clean, well decorated, easy to find in the house. Beds were very comfortable. Jim was a great host and we would stay there again. And, the free view of wildlife including white squirrels, wild turkeys, and deer were a nice touch.
