“The inside of the apartment was clean and there were plenty of blankets and toiletries. The outside looks like it used to be a Chinese restaurant. Everything was adequate except for the water pressure in the shower. Pressure was very low.”

The hosts have accomplished absolute magic in their herculean efforts to make this building a draw for the town. They succeeded wildly, with only a few new-lodging quirks to work out. The design is just enough, with subtle details somehow receding into the character of the moment rather than feeling obvious and cliché. We have been waiting for years to see what might be accomplished here, with not high hopes.……

“This was a great place for me to rest my head while exploring the surrounding area, including Acadia which is just about 20 miles away. The space has a great area for some lounging, a cute kitchen, and comfortable bed. The host was responsive within minutes to every question I had, and even left fresh local veggies, eggs and coffee. Great place. I would happily return if in the area again!”

“We loved the actual condo. The street is located on is rural and very pretty street. However, we had difficulty figuring out where exactly on that street it was located. We went to the house across the street because the mailbox is in front of that house. Wrong house. Then we went to the wrong condo, which was occupied by someone. Turned out we had a few laughs about the chaos, but I do think clearer location instructions should be provided. Otherwise, the place was great! Super clean and……

“Our stay was wonderful! Amy went above and beyond to help us feel welcome and give us the lay of the land. We mostly used the home as our home base but would love to come back and spend time relaxing on the lake. The house was clean, comfortable, and well kept. Can’t beat this setting if you want peace and quiet in the Maine woods. You won’t regret spending time in this gem!”

“The property itself was a little hard to find, as I was not also expecting it to be attached to someone elses living courters; but with that being said it was not a bad stay. The property inside and out was beautiful for what it is, and was surrounded by woods so you couldn't see the road, so it gives you a cozy feel without being super far away from everything. We got to see a lot of cool birds at the bird feeders outside through the window which was a nice touch I appreciated.”
