OK for a stop.
This was a one-night stop for us. Food nearby or breakfast at the hotel were not satisfactory but it was ok for our purpose. Cleanness was also a bit below average.
The owners, Carol and Denis, were just fabulous! So courteous and accommodating. They welcomed us in like we were family and not guests. The location was clean and quiet and warm in a cozy way. I loved the 24/7 access to coffee, tea, and hot cocoa, the gorgeous antiques, and the hominess. Even the house itself invited you in! And the breakfast? Fantastic!! So fresh and delicious and huge! I was stuffed every morning! The only issue was the parking was a bear trying to get in and out of safely. It was right on a busy intersection. I prayed every time we entered or exited! Loved the visit from the friendly spirits in the attic suite as well. We will be back next year for our next ski trip so have our room ready for us!
This is a beautiful property but what really sets it apart is the warmth and friendliness of the hosts. We highly recommend this great b and b for your stay in the Naples area. Also be sure to take home some of their daughter's homemade blueberry jam
Our stay was perfect. We had a lovely, spacious cabin across the street from Long Lake. So nice to walk along the causeway. The host and hostess were so friendly and caring. Each room is decorated beautifully. They prepared a delicious breakfast each morning and gave us valuable information on what to do in the area. The state park is just down the street where we launched our kayaks and enjoyed the Crooked River and Brandy Pond. We highly recommend a stay here where the owners go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and happy.
This is a charming home to spend some relaxation time. The rooms are lovely and clean if a little old fashioned. Breakfast is marvelous. Carol and Dennis are like old friends ready to cater to your needs.
Naples itself is lovely to walk around but don’t expect much to do. There are few restaurants and no night life in the little town. But don’t miss the state park and coastal beaches that are a drive away.
This place is amazing...owners are so friendly and accomodating...we stayed in a small cabin and it was spotless..very comfortable and had a beautiful screened in porch where we spent much time ...this included breakfast which included two different choices each day..delicious!!!! WE are definitely planning to go here again..
We booked a room here only a few days before our stay. We were using it as an 'extra room' for a family wedding. We didn't arrive until 8:30 p.m. because of family event. We did call ahead to let them know we would be checking in after 8 p.m. The B&B host could not have been nicer! We had a lovely first floor suite with a comfy bed and a lovely Sunday breakfast. Blueberry pancakes were an option, but we had a more traditional breakfast of eggs and bacon and a very yummy 'banana bread'! I highly recommend this lovely Victorian B&B. It is also in a beautiful location in Naples right across from Long Lake. You will not be disappointed!
The host and hostess of the Augustus Bove were wonderful. We spent one night here after dropping my son off at camp. I would definitely stay again if I'm in the area! Breakfast and coffee hit the spot!
I had a great stay here, the owners were a lovely couple, accommodating, personable, and great to talk with. Breakfast was excellent. Be sure to ask them about how they met, its a heart warming story. ;) Would definitely stay again. The house was built in the 1850's, if i remember that correctly, so it has that rustic lake home charm. Comfortable beds, and across the street from the lake, 2 restaurants, and one of the marinas.
Our stay was delightful. The owners were very attentive with a smile everyday. The breakfast was not just delicious but also plentiful. You don't walk away hungry. It's right in the heart of Naples, with a beautiful view of Long Lake.
