“Great location: Property needs upgrades”

“We absolutely loved our stay in Newport because of how close this apartment was to everything! The apartment itself is absolutely beautiful, exactly like pictured. There were so many amenities and small details, such as beach chairs, picnic basket, bathrobes, black makeup towels, games, etc. that I really appreciated! The location is only about 7-10 minutes away from the wharfs walking distance. The host was easy to communicate with and let us check in an hour early.”

“Great place and fantastic location to T. Parking available every day, even when we had to move from one side of the street for sweeping.”

“Checking in and trying to get access to the apartment was very difficult. We got there late and the lights weren’t enough to illuminate the lock box and keys. A light needs to be installed next to the box so it is possible to open it late at night. Also please make sure guests are aware of the spiral staircase. Elderly and families with young children might appreciate knowing that. The apartment was beautiful and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you.”

“We had the best girls weekend here! The space was perfect size for us. Great spaces for sitting and chatting, both inside and on the balcony. The location was perfect, right across from the ocean waves and shells on the beach. Walking distance to town and easy access to biking. It had everything we needed.”

“The listing photos very appropriately depict the details of the property. Was very clean. Close to the T subway so made it easy to get around Boston if you’re not looking to rent a car. Only grievance was that the AC seemed to not work. Our group set it to 68 and the place only managed to get down to 73 with windows open and standing fans provided in the unit. The weather probably helped with this though because we visited when temperature outside was 50-60. The hosting party, who was off site,……

“1 star. Do not book. Unsafe and nothing like the photos. We arrived to find an apartment that barely resembled the listing. Both couches were stained, and one was broken in the middle. The whole unit had a strong, unpleasant smell that never let up. The bathroom was worse. The door got stuck against a cabinet and trapped our 4-year-old inside; she couldn't get out, and it was genuinely terrifying for her. The shelf shown in the listing photos wasn't there either; in its place was a bare board……
