“We stayed here recently and while the room itself was beautiful and set in a stunning area, unfortunately our experience was let down by a few issues. There were constant insects throughout our stay, including a large number of ants crawling in the room and even in the bed, which made it very uncomfortable and difficult to sleep at night. The sink tap was also extremely loose, and the shower had no door or proper screen, meaning the entire bathroom flooded every time we showered.

“We wanted a weekend away, but didn’t want to travel too far as it was only for two nights, then I found this little villa on the Gartelmann Estate up the Hunter Valley.
