Location near good public transport but also near hospital and busy road wit plenty siren movements. Overwhelmed by the use of mirrorred interior. Nice in spacy pool space but unable to hide limited ceiling height in this converted office building. Lacking responsible senior staff. Overactive in e messages 'to prepare your experience " but upon arrival agreed services (extra towels, pool-reservation) were not arranged. Typical example of management focus on return on investment more important than providing quality hospitality at 4* level (and recruiting well paid/motivated staff).

Excellent Location, very central we walked to all the attractions including the Royal Palace you can see everything along the way. Lots shops and restaurants something for everyone. The indoor pool was heated and really nice at sunset (you have to book time slot with reception). The bar was nice we had few mocktails. Cant fault hotel would stay again. Noticed they gave free complimentary spa like item to customer checking in when we checked out…a little annoyed as did ask them to do something for husband’s bday which they didn't, even a note would’ve been nice. Or if you looked at passports you would’ve noticed the date these little touches would put your service at 5*. Can get a little noisy outside feels like its central route to all emergency services.

The Cardo Brussels hotel is very convenient in terms of location and ability to navigate both tourist sites and restaurants - provided you're good with using the metro system...which we were. A bit weird on the check-in as there is a "greeter" on the main floor who barely gave detail on where to go other than floor 2. Forgetting the ground 0 routine in Europe, we then took the escalator - which led nowhere until we did it again and got to floor two. A bit annoying. Once settled, the room was very nice, comfortable and at the end of the hallway...generally good in terms of quiet. But there must have been high crimes during the time were were there as the sirens seem to go on-and-on. :) Had a difficult time dealing with the auto-shades to dim the room as well. It was as if there was a choice of full-on open or full-on black-out curtains but finding something in between was comical. Literally spent 5 minutes laughing and trying options. Overall staff freindliness was great - they helped where needed and responded to questions about what to see, restaurants, etc.. Good value on the hotel as well. Given the closeness of metro, restaurants, tourist sites, etc. - alll easy walking distance or metro - the place is a good choice. Food - the breakfast buffet was great. Akai was a disaster. Hotel basically disclaims any relation but says it's "their" restaurant. Crap service and atmosphere - playground for juveniles. Marriott needs to get a handle on this!!! Avoid at all cost.

Wir haben die Unterkunft für einen Wochenendtrip in Brüssel gebucht. Das Hotel hat eine super Lage und gute Parkmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Wer allerdings Ruhe sucht, ist hier vollkommen falsch. Das Hotel ist sehr groß und dementsprechend voll. Am Wochenende haben sich hier viele Partygäste einquartiert. Die Gäste benehmen sich rücksichtslos und laut, so wurden wir um 6 Uhr morgens von streitenden Partygästen auf dem Weg zurück ins Zimmer geweckt. Es wird überall laut telefoniert, auch im Spa Bereich wird keine Rücksicht auf andere genommen. Sehr schade, dass man den Pool nur für eine Stunde am Tag nutzen darf. Danach wird man gebeten zu gehen. Das Frühstück ist okay. Für den Preis hätten wir einfach mehr erwartet.
