Perfect Location

Close to downtown Bryson City, Great Smokey National Park for hiking and Cherokee for gambling.

Love this location as we wanted to be close to Downtown Bryson City. The road getting up to it was easy for a mountain road and the instructions were very descriptive. Pet friendly but not really any grass to walk them. The hot tub was in great condition and super clean. The hot water went out the last morning so we couldn’t take a shower or shave but other than that, conditions were great. A realtor came by while we were eating lunch Saturday and said they were scheduled to look at the house so that was kind of concerning so we took the key with us when we left the house because we had our stuff there. Just Alright

Highlights of property are:* proximity to Deep Creek Park entrance where our family enjoyed a nice hike* in a quiet community with enough privacy* convenient to quaint downtown area of Bryson City with plenty of restaurant choicesSeems that this property is not occupied often and is not maintained as well as it should be. I was surprised by the lack of previous reviews which is why I feel obligated to write one now.The beds are SO firm and SO loud with loose headboads that bump the wall everytime you move.Listing inaccurately states there is a fold out couch which was a problem for our 4 person family as we had expected our 2 teenagers to have their own place to sleep. Luckily, both of them enjoyed the jumbo bean bags in the cabin, so they took turns sleeping on them.It was difficult to play cards without a real (non-folding) table that seats 4 and the porch would have been a good place.Pets have definitely been in the cabin and the disgusting carpet holds the dander and caused allergies for us.Key box is not secure enough with such an obvious code!Overall, we enjoyed the location of the cabin but we would have prefered that it were described more accurately, maintained better, and secured more appropriately.

Secluded Restful Cabin!

Tucked away, up along a single-lane wide paved & unpaved road, this place is perfect if you're overloaded by the crowded stressful modern world. You can still get reception for TV, internet. Get ready to relax and do nothing- or just soak in the nice hot tub!

Good weekend

The cabin was very clean and welcoming. It's a great layout for a couple who just wanted to get away for the weekend. The jacuzzi was wonderful and the cabin was stocked with everything we needed. It's also relatively close to town so that was nice also. The road going up to the cabin is not paved but seems to be maintained. The only hiccup with our stay was the beds in the house. We tried both the downstairs and upstairs beds and they were low-quality mattresses that squeaked constantly. Also, the headboards would knock against the wall whenever you moved. If they could address this they would have a 5 star review from us.

Relaxing place to stay

We stayed off season during spring break. We didn’t see anyone except when driving in and out. We had snow while we were there, so we spent time enjoying the fireplace and hot tub. It was very clean and had everything that we needed. Things to know before renting: Follow their directions in the email. I know that the road is not the cabin owners responsibility, so I am not putting the condition of road on them. It is basically a home’s driveway turned into a neighborhood road. There are pieces of the road falling in. There are also places where you can’t pass another vehicle. The mattresses are really, really firm. The upstairs bed is squeaky and loud. Every time you roll over, you wake up from the noise. The head board is also loose or is too big for the bed. It rocks back and forth and hits the wall when you get in the bed or roll over. Loudest bed that I have ever slept in. I wish that I knew that they allow or allowed pets. I picked this cabin, because it said no pets in the description. I am allergic to dog dander. Once I got the check in email, I realized that they allow pets with a fee. When we got to the cabin, there was dog hair along the edges of the carpet, dog hair on the porch, and dog nose prints on the glass door. There were dog treats in the upstairs closet. It was not a deal breaker. However, other people with allergies should know that dogs have stayed in the cabin.

Weekend Getaway

Booked this cabin for the weekend, and it was the perfect size for 4 people! Although there were still maintenance guys there refilling the hot tub when we arrived so it was too cold to use our first night. The rest of the time was great! Wasn't quite as secluded as I had hoped, but was definitely not uncomfortable. Overall a very relaxing stay!

Beautiful Cabin!

Just a few minutes from beautiful downtown Bryson City, this cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Nestled in the mountains, hot tub on the deck, stocked kitchen/appliances, and completely decked out for Christmas!! We LOVED every minute, and cannot wait to go back!
