The hotel was clean, shower worked well - good pressure and warm water, matracess were comfortable. There's nothing more to ask from a hotel. Breakfast was included, and it was very tasty, local sweet buns available, hot food was available as well. On arrival we could chose from a single or double bed room. And on departure we were offered help with luggages (which we didn't need). These nice touches made it a pleasurable experience to stay in the Star City Hotel. If I could find any issues, it would be only shower draining slowly and soap ( shower gel) dispenser in shower was empty.

Nice, i would comeback

I enjoyed the time spent in this structure. Comfortable beds and reasonable size of the single room, which was well cleaned every day. Not a noisy space. Shower had soap doser and guests are given a proper amount of towels. Before my permanence, I read negative comments about breakfast but I disagree, it was rich and varied, from sweet to savoury. Definitely appropriate for the 3 stars of the hotel. Staff was nice and helpful without delay when I needed it. With the help of public transport, not far from the very center of the city. Due to the area where it is located, plus the not wide amount of auxiliary services, it is appropriate for a 3 stars appointment, with an uncommon and definitely positive quality-price ratio for the usual level of these hotels.

Worn and dusty but good location

The hotel was bit dated. That was most clearly shown in the bathroom and the reception. There were wear and tear on most funitures, walls and table tops that peaked out. Room itself was good sized and had lots of potential, but the textiles, including the curtains, were worn or even bit torn. Bathroom had black mold due to water not being able to flow freely out. I was bit dissapointed that sign in the bathroom says to save water by using towels again, but that was denied since during the day, they were changes fo new ones even when done so as the sign says. Location was nice and quiet and breakfast was standard and served its purpose.

Great hotel, the only problem we had was the door was tricky to open and close, maybe reception could offer advice when guests check in. And the shower in the room kept falling down which did get a bit annoying.

Excellent placed hotel, ideally located within walking distance of City Park- which is absolutely stunning. Also a bus stop directly across road from hotel and Keleti rail station within ten minutes, which serves as a perfect transport hub for exploring Budapest and beyond. Hotel staff are incredible! They couldn’t be more helpful and are always willing to answer any questions you might have. Lovely open space on arrival where you can relax and enjoy a coffee. Room was warm and cosy and serves its purpose. Breakfast was outstanding! Pastries, cereal and fresh fruit- also selection of cheese and hams. Great coffee.

The room was clean and fine for an overnight stay for my family. Walking to our room, we saw that the carpets in the hallway were filthy and were concerned that the room would be the same. The room was acceptable.

Tbh the hotel was lovely, the staff were super friendly and very nice, my room was next to one of the lifts and it made a really loud, annoying noice every time someone called the lift which was very loud and extremely annoying but other than that it done everything you would expect
