「I like this place. The service is very good. 」

「Breakfast was disappointing for being in Amish country.」

「The staff at the VanBuren Hotel were friendly and able to answer any questions about the town. There was no wait to check in and I appreciated knowing which entrance was closest to my room. The room was clean, although a bit worn. The coverlet was thin and the mattress a bit saggy. There was plenty of convenient parking. Breakfast wasn’t fancy; just your normal breakfast buffet. I appreciated the fresh fruit and the coffee was good.」

「The property was clean but dated. The pictures are probably old. My room smelled like cigarette smoke so maybe new ac filters or carpets are needed?」

「Breakfast both days were not available. Suppose to open at 7 am , doors were locked, no one would respond. On second day we asked the night before if there was something we could take to the room for breakfast the next morning and were told NO. Simply not accommodating staff.」

「The room smelled somewhat musty or smoky like most cheap rooms until we had the A/C running long enough. The bedding was clean. We were staying as we did a long drive home across the country, so it was decent enough to sleep in for a night and wake up the next day. The check in process seemed like it took forever considering I’d already reserved online and paid.」

「Room was clean. The pool was cold and the pump wasn't on. The game room was a complete bust, as none of the games worked. Entry door C was jamed and had to be forced to get it opened. We didn't stick around to eat breakfast. It could be a good place to stay with kids if they get everything up and running. They play area was nice.」

「New, very clean, nicely out in nature. And there are all those lovely little lakes in the area - loved it!」

「They are remodeling hot water took forever to warm up. Ac didn't work well. Open shelf between the beds fell off when I tried to use it to get up.」

「Nothing for breakfast except coffee. Door on room did not fit well, allowing visible cracks that showed hallway. Sure seems like someone is living there as the food odors were very strong (and not good) at the same time each night. Check-in took too long, and check-out was even longer. People hanging around lobby during check-out made it very strange and the clerk said nothing so I assume they were related. I will NOT stay at this hotel again.」

「outdoor stairs were a fun adventure for us with a snow storm, but we made it. We really enjoyed the front porch and heater in there while resting and reading. 」
