Family Getaway

This was the perfect place for our quick family getaway. We were so impressed with the overall property and how clean the cabin was and how cute everything was decorated. This is our third year staying at Solitude. It has everything you would want to stay and spend time with loved ones in nature! It’s clean, up to date on everything, beautifully decorated, set in a secluded woods, close to trails and activities if you choose, and even has a hot tub and fire pit!Excellent hosts! Relaxing getaway in the woods

We had a great time at Solitude. We spent five days there ahead of Christmas just to relax. We made cookies, watched movies by the fire, played games, and ate. The cabin was well stocked for all our needs. it was conveniently located near Mohican State Park, which we took advantage of to get out and do some hiking. I highly recommend this cabin if you have a larger family.

Every holiday our family spends some time away from the city to enjoy the beauty of Ohio, time to read and play games together, and a chance to slow things down after a busy year. Elysian Retreat

The 5 of us high school friends plan an annual retreat in the fall. This cabin fit all our needs and was so clean and cozy! We loved the soft leather couch and fireplace and all the convieniences provided in the kitchen. Also loved the big dining room table to play games and do crafts. The beds were all very comfortable and we liked that there were many bathrooms. Thank you for sharing your beautiful solitude cabin!

Peaceful and Serene

A beautiful property nestled away from the hustle and bustle—it was truly a perfect getaway. The cabin was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities needed to have an enjoyable weekend without worrying about having forgotten something at home or needing to head out to the store. Jodi was very kind, thorough, and accommodating, and she was great about communication from booking through checkout. We all loved this cabin and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to plan a getaway!

Enjoyed Our Stay ..

A very attractive, pleasant and comfortable property with an "everything works perfectly" kitchen and plenty of room for our entire family group of 8 adults and 2 kids .. only relatively minor problems, the TV remote needs replaced as it works very poorly and the hot tub had some kind of issue and stopped functioning during the later part of our stay .. the nearest town (Butler) has absolutely nothing going for it, but there are a couple nice eating places farther up the road at I-71 and Rt 97 in Bellville and, as it was the week between Christmas and New Years, the decorations and lighting display at Kingwood Center a little farther yet up the road in Mansfield were super nice .. Perfect Cabin in the Woods

Our family of 10 absolutely loved staying at solitude cabin. The house is immaculately decorated. It feels like a chic cabin experience. Everybody said how comfortable the beds were and what a great night sleep they got on them. We couldn’t have wanted anything better. The Jacuzzi is big and new, it is perfect to relax in after a long day of skiing. The kitchen is set up with many staples that you would need for cooking a nice meal. it has a big beautiful kitchen table for everyone to sit around and play games and eat! We would absolutely stay here again!! Jodi was extremely understanding when we asked questions and always got right back to us.

Great place to 'fill your cup"

This was our Christmas gift to the family...and ME! This is such a beautiful, clean, well thought out space for a family of 12 to spend quality time together. Plenty of space! We enjoyed cozy time by the fire, grilling for a taco bar for dinner, roasting marshmallows outside in the firepit, lounging in the hot tub, watching movies. We hiked all around the property and the nearby trails, where we saw a waterfall and an eagle's nest! The coffee bar and rainbow books made us smile! Love the updates from last year. We went home rejuvenated and ready to tackle the week. Thanks to great hosts! We would stay again!

Perfect getaway

Solitude was a great place for a weekend trip of multiple families with small children. The listing was accurate, host was responsive, and the back yard fire pit and hot tub were amazing!
