The Phillipines, once you leave Manila you are in a different world. Taal volcano is a popular day trip from Manila, it's supposed to be an easy hike but if you add hot weather plus hot steam and stuff from an active volcano it gets very difficult very fast, but don't worry they sell really expensive beer once you reach the top (trust me you will not care about the price and it will be delicious no matter what). Once you make it to the top the view is great, the crater has the smallest island on a volcano on an island in the world (or something like that) keep your gear light, you won't regret it.

There are locks on the bedroom doors for safety, but people could easily enter the property by climbing the fence. ”

“A small villa in a gated community. The toilet and shower rooms are very small and basic. We ran out of water on second day. Couldn’t contact the administrator by phone but managed to see her and let her know. God for a short stay but could do with updating the interior of the rooms. ”
