Quirky

Recurring stay at this no nonsense accommodation in central Calais. Quirky rooms, individual designs. Owner is converting it into apartments so sadly, only a few years left to stay here. Parking on the street is free and safe or you can park securely for a few euros. Wife and I love this place and have been visiting here 20 years regularly.

So lovely to stay in the property. Benoit was very kind and welcoming. Helpful introduction and information on the local area. Obviously, work is being done on the property but this caused no inconvenience. Loved the simplicity in the design, super comfortable beds and great location.

Functional and basic

The hotel was easy to find, functional and basic but for one night that is all I wanted. The owner was very helpful and recommended a couple of places to go. Overall pleasant and good experience.

Bon appartement bien situé et pratique

Appartement pratique bien situé au calme et parking aise dans la rue. Literie correcte et appartement un peu vieillot mais propre. Attention pas d'ascenseur il faut monter les escaliers pour atteindre l'ascenseur.

Llegamos a las 8:30! En la tarde y no había nadie . Por lo que tuvimos que buscar otro alojamiento,aún así al día siguiente intentaron cobrarnos por noshow. No podemos valorar el alojamiento pues no pudimos quedarnos.

Bien situé, à proximité de restaurants Mais pas de climatisation et impossible de dormir avec la porte du balcon ouverte à cause du bruit de la ville, donc nuit compliquée par la chaleur TV inutilisable à cause du signal TNT trop faible... Thé et café disponible dans la chambre mais pas de sucre

Not an hotel.

I don't think this place should be called a hotel. The "lobby" is a bare hallway, there are no staff, even though the reviews mention them, the whole building is being renovated and halls, stairs etc. are wooden and noisy. We thought we had booked a balcony room but didn't get one. There is a hand held shower only over the bath and apologetic notices everywhere about the work. Large bed, comfortable and clean. A very basic, very central stay with free parking outside, very close to restaurants and art museum. If your priority is a bargain then you will be happy. We were glad only one other couple seemed to be staying. Stiff climb to out 3rd floor room so not for everyone.

I didn't actually stay at the hotel. I booked 2 weeks in advance and the day before I was due to travel I was sent a text informing me that they would be closed on the night of my stay and that I should book somewhere else.

Good location

Really convenient for the shuttle and easy to find. Friendly welcome and good restaurant recommendation. Central location with good choice and range of restaurants. Easy walk to the beach. Plus balcony overlooking park.

hotel en rénovation en centre ville, bien situé (devant le parc Richelieu) pour faire à pieds les centres d'intêret musées, restaurants, plage etc...Commerces à proximité. Accueil tres sympathique du propriétaire. Bons petits dejeuners 2 formules au choix. Tres bonne literie....par contre gel douche non fourni (Coviv 19) uniquement en vente à la réception.

Séjour d'une nuit passée en solo. Hotel bien situé dans un quartier calme et central. Chambre propre (malgré des traces de travaux en cours). Une remarque liée à mon arrivée tardive: Pas de gel douche/savon dans la chambre. Il est indiqué en vente à l'accueil, ce qui est problématique lorsque celle-ci est fermée.

Ideal for a short stopover in Calais

Clean, comfortable, great location. Simple room but perfect for a short stay. Friendly, helpful owner. Be aware that the building is being renovated so the initial appearance might be off-putting. Don’t worry, though. It doesn’t detract from the stay.
