“Typical chain hotel with casino. The thermal springs were really good but lack a coffee shop. Restaurants fair but not great. Good Gardens but nowhere to sit. Good value for money.”
“A short but very sweet stopover for us at this lodge. The staff are beyond excellent and offered great service, activities and fabulous food. So glad we stayed and suggest you do too.”
“Our stay at Birkenhead House was the ultimate Hermanus retreat. From the warm, attentive team to the eclectic design and breathtaking floral displays, every detail left us feeling spoiled. Ideally situated steps from the beach and scenic walking routes, it was a paradise for nature lovers—complete with dozens of whale sightings, rich birdlife, and the striking indigenous flora of the Western Cape.”
“Das Hotel ist sehr zu empfehlen. Tolle, große Zimmer, tolles Frühstücksbuffet und wunderschöner Golfplatz. Wir haben nur zu bemängeln, dass der Fitnessraum in die Jahre gekommen ist. Von 3 Laufbänder, ging nur 1. Das ist für die Größe des Hotels einfach zu wenig. Auch die Gymnastik Matten sollten mehrere da sein.”
“Abalone Guest House is great. Excellent welcome and hospitality. Good location overlooking the ocean towards Voelklip about 5k to the east of Hermanus. ”
“A beautiful property overlooking the sea. We really loved staying here.
Very clean and good breakfast. Staff were very helpful. The beds were very comfortable. I would recommend staying here for the views, whales, walks and just relaxing.”
