VILLA RUSTICA REVIEW
Property as expected and almost as described. One mistake it seems I made was not to confirm whether or not there was a safe. There wasn't. This seemed to be a basic requirement to me. We had seven people in all in the villa which means 7 passports, 7 sets of travel docs, 7 lots of spending money plus kindles, i phones and i pads. Of these, at least the first three need to be locked in a safe for peace of mind. When I mentioned this to Maria who handed over the villa she responded by saying there was little crime in the area and we should hide them somewhere!!. Not a good response if you end up being subject to the "little crime in the area". The pool was good and although not heated it was very pleasant once in and that was at the beginning of June. The beds were comfortable and the aircon worked well. Extra pillows were requested and arrived the same day. We spent most of our time around the pool and the outside kitchen which was well equipped. Two sets of keys were provided. The showers were good. Our party of 6 females and 1 male all managed to shower with plenty of hot water. The description mentions baths, yes there are baths but no plugs and their reasoning for this is water conservation. So if you prefer a bath and expect to get one here think again unless you go out and buy plugs, (not the same size as UK plugs). All in all, if the area was a bit livelier and the bars and restaurants a little closer (1-1.5kms), I would rebook without a problem.
