Everything was Amazing!
The Villa was immaculate, and so wonderfully restored and decorated. The gardens were beautiful and we enjoyed discovering something new each time we went outside. The kitchen has everything you might need to make meals, and there are two sitting areas (one open to the kitchen, and one in front with closing doors for privacy. The bedrooms are private and away from the main living spaces, so people can spread out and have whole group time or quite time. The town of Cambridge is filled with friendly people, and there is a nice art gallery and some great shopping at small businesses downtown (be sure to go to the bookstore, children's clothing store, the kitchen goods store, antiques & French decorations. This rental is close to Hobbiton and Hamilton, and within driving distance to many other locations. The host was so helpful and kind. This was a wonderful rental experience!

Gorgeous Cottage
A beautiful place to stay in a lovely location. The cottage is lovely, both in its decorations and inclusions. It’s set in a beautiful garden close to the charming town of Cambridge. Yvonne was a delight to deal with. Definitely a place to return to!

Absolutely fabulous
We had a fabulous stay in this beautiful property. I would love to stay again when the weather improves and be able to enjoy the beautiful garden. The house is the loveliest I have stayed in. The apples, bowl of walnuts and the bread was a lovely touch. Would certainly recommend.

An Absolute Gem!
We were sorry not to be lingering longer in Cambridge as this house was a delight to stay in. Impeccably clean and beautifully appointed, the beds were comfortable with good-sized rooms and a lovely lounge room looking out onto the beautiful front garden. The kitchen has everything you need and our host, Yvonne, was easy to communicate with. There were small touches everywhere and a fresh loaf of artisanal bread awaiting our arrival. The house is minutes to the town centre and I could not recommend a prettier or more comfortable place to spend your time in Cambridge.

Just as beautiful as we remembered
This was our second stay at the villa and it was just as stunning as we remembered from our first stay. Yvonne was fantastic with her communication and had the villa ready for our arrival including some lovely fresh bread. The villa is clean, cosy, warm and the beds are so comfortable, safe to say we all had three good night sleeps. It really felt like a home away from home and we will be back.

Pure Excellence
Amazing house, absolute home away from home, had to force ourselves to go out. Owner Yvonne is just amazing, we had to postpone at very short notice and she was warm, empathetic, and allowed us to move our dates, and thank goodness she did as we have just spent the most wonderful weekend in her incredible house. Cambridge is lovely, and with the house so close to town, everything was just so accessible. The house is perfect, with beautiful gardens to sit in or play pétanque. The kitchen was very well equipped for when you don’t want to go out for dinner, the bedrooms were all lovely, and the lounge is cosy and comfy. Thank you Yvonne, we will be back soon!

This is a luxurious quality Villa. It exceeded our expectations and we will definitely stay here again. Unfortunately the reasons for staying were not ideal so this Villa was like a home away from home. Better than any motel we have stayed in before. Well done to the owner and also a hand up to the cleaners. 5 star plus

A sanctuary in Cambridge
My youngest daughter has got married the week before at the Tree Church in Ohaupo the week before. We were returning to Cambridge to spend more time with her older sister who had flown over from London with her partner. After a busy wedding it was a sanctuary. The decor was beautiful and the presence of the house and gardens peaceful. My delay in rating our stay is I was looking for a private email address where I could give some practical feedback about a couple of things but I didn’t want to distract from the overall rating. This host goes to great length to make you feel like you are staying in a five star hotel but with the warmth and charm only Cambridge can bring. She has succeeded in every respect. Thank you for a perfect ending from the mother of the bride - my batteries were truly recharged.

Bridal Party Accomodation
Me and my bridesmaids stayed there for my wedding weekend and it was fabulous. The host communication was top notch and very accommodating and the house was one of the best private short stay rentals I and my friends have ever stayed at.

Beautiful decor, clean and tidy beyond reproach, all the comforts plus more. The Lewis Road Creamery Team enjoyed everything about it. Easy check in and out. Would definitely recommend to anyone passing through Cambridge or as a more pleasant stay than Hamilton.

Modern, spacious, and tidy holidy home
Perfect for family of 5 (mom, dad, grandfather, and two primary school aged kids). Plenty of room to spread out. All amenities available. Well stocked kitchen. Quality linens and towels. Good attention to detail in general. We were in Cambridge for the Kiwigrass bluegrass festival at the Mighty River Domain -- ~15 min drive. The house itself is well-located. Easy walk to the main street that offers many places to eat and drink. There's a Countdown and New World for groceries. If you're into buying plants, drive out to Oderings or Beck's Nursery. Check out the Begonia House and the surrounding garden if want to just look at plants. Yvonne is a lovely host. Good communication. She greeted us with a nice loaf of bread. Thank you. We highly recommend this place for those who are looking for a home away from home.

Absolutely Beautiful Place in Great location
Wow. What a beautiful place in an awesome town. We loved the house, her hospitality and the location. Juat a couple of blocks walk to a great little rown with some wonderful restaurants. We were able to drive a short distance to the caves, Hobbiton, Rotoura and the Cambridge Gardens. Yvonne was a wonderful hostess and we can't wait to go back.

Villa 142 was so amazing. Beautifully restored, warm and quiet.
Five star stay. Yvonne was great to communicate with and was at the villa waiting for us on arrival. The villa is immaculate and so homely and accommodated nine of us easily. Nice and warm and all mod cons. We will be back!

Great family getaway! Walking distance to lake, shops, and great restaurants.
We absolutely loved our stay here in Cambridge. Lots of great food and shopping within walking distance. We also were able to visit Hobbiton with ease from this central location. The host was incredibly thoughtful and welcoming. I would highly recommend staying here and we would return in a heartbeat.

Lovely home in great location
I stayed here with my husband, 2 kids, mother and brother and it was perfect. It's spacious, beautifully-decorated and in a great location. Yvonne had the spare bed all set up in one of the larger bedrooms for us upon arrival. She was available via text the entire time we were staying in the house. The location is great, central to Rotorua and Waitomo if you plan to go to those places. We did both of those on separate days and it is about an hour drive to each. Hamilton is also a nice town that is close to Cambridge. There's a nice little backyard as well with a grill and space for the kids to run around. The kitchen is also well-appointed and we had all we needed to cook breakfast and dinner each day. Yvonne was also kind enough to provide some essentials, including fresh eggs, milk, butter and bread. Overall a fantastic stay at a wonderful property. Would highly recommend a stay here if you're planning to be in the area.
