“Like most hotel/motels, the showerheads are ignored and need to be descaled and cleaned. Cleaning staff should make sure that all items are filled such as the tissue holder. There was a tissue box but it was empty.”

“The house had plenty of sleeping space. Has cabin/lake decor throughout. Lots to do on the property. Giant jenga, bean bags, hot tub, paddle boat, kayaks and standup paddle board. Campfire ring and nice back deck for lounging and grilling. Had basic cooking sheets and pans that covered our needs. Hot water for showers and fun game room. Very near Back to Captains bar and grill. Food and band was good there. Host was quick to respond to our one question. Lots of eagles on the property and in……

“Invited our family to share Wild West Days with us. We all found this perfectly imperfect cabin to be on a sandy bottom lake, with easy fishing, and fabulous views. The comfort of grandpa’s cabin in every aspect. It was like grandpa was at home and lended you his cabin. It was stocked with the swim trunks you forgot to pack. The shallow lake gets warmer early, go swimming!! The dock is perfect for fishing. The canoe and 2 man paddle boat were perched waiting for us to slip them into the water.……

“Overall a great venue. Quiet except for the large barking dog upstairs occasionally. The amenities could use an update. This was supposed to sleep 4 but there was only one hand towel and 2 wash cloths. There were 8 towels that appeared to come from the owner's house after years of use (threadbare). There were only 3 coffee cups and mismatched glasses (4) and silverware. There was 1 kitchen towel. The entry carpet was thin and curled up on the corner creating a safety hazard. “The Lakeside Getaway was in a great location for a friends trip we planned. We chose it for the size of beds, and number of bathrooms, (3 adult couples' trip) in addition to its location close to our trip event plans. It is in a peaceful quiet neighborhood, and we regretted we could not take advantage of all it had to offer in terms of being near the water. “We wanted a lakeside Thanksgiving getaway and this was perfect! Cozy, warm and well appointed. Craig, the owner responded quickly and was very helpful with the questions we had. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds are comfortable and there is a nice supply of linens. We enjoyed the nearby Grams Park trails and Sand Dune Park trails for walking with our pups. “We were there just for a high school graduation, did not get to spend much time at the house but severed our purpose, everything was as expected. As with all Minnesota properties you do not want to be outside after dark with the bugs, only surprise was no tv, this was no issues just something that did not realize. Very happy with property and home to return again in the future”
