"We always book Amsterdam so we’ve stayed at several. The older woman at Sussex Amsterdam was the least social person in a reception position I’ve ever dealt with. Watching this woman during morning rituals, she was very efficient but not one customer was greeted with a “good morning”. I would have been happy with a “Smile” but that never happened. Very off putting."

"The property is fairly large and the kitchen looks nice, but overall the experience fell short due to poor preparation, lack of basic amenities, and safety concerns.The biggest issue was security. The front door did not have a proper lock, and our toddler was able to open it easily. For a waterfront property, this is a serious safety risk. The back door also had a gap leading to the deck where my child got his ankle caught—another clear hazard.Inside, basic essentials were missing—no kitchen towels, no paper towels, and no boxed Kleenex. The water cooler was empty and we were expected to refill it ourselves, which is unreasonable for a short stay. There were also no bath mats available (we later found them unwashed in the washing machine), so we had to use towels on the floor. The BBQ was not available, which wasn’t clearly communicated.The outside of the property was also a mess. It may have been off-season, but it looked like garbage was scattered around, and the area was not usable at all. We didn’t use the outdoor space during our stay because of this.Overall, the property looks better than it functions. It lacks basic standards and attention to detail, and the safety issues are concerning. would not stay here again. Families with young children should be cautious given the safety concerns."

"We really enjoyed our stay. The dome was very clean and quite spacious. The fall colors and views were very fulfilling.Easy access to all areas. Although our stay was short we took full advantage of the area"

"It was all quite nice, met our needs. The tv was impossible for us to figure out, maybe a cheat sheet would be a good idea. None of the three of us could figure it out. We are used to fire stick and chrome."

"The staff were above and beyond helpful and friendly and kind. The bed was comfortable and all the amenities for comfort were available. We loved the location, the quiet, the setting and would happily return. The only thing missing for us were perhaps some cards or games for evening entertainment. "

"Visited with my sisters. We tend to play Dominos much of the time, and the table and chairs were great for this. Nice outdoor area and sun room. Very convenient and comfortable overall. We "older generation" folks missed having "regular TV channels with news and ball games for example, but this wasn't a big issue. Host replied quickly to questions. Great stay, lovely accomodation."
