"This is a pristine-clean and very well-stocked property in a perfect location! Location: lots of picturesque small islands easily reachable by kayaks, grocery shop 5 minutes away, bike trail with 19th century bridge, 15 minutes to the waterfalls and via ferrata, 1 hr drive to Bonnechere caves. Cottage: all utensils, spices and oils, lots of outdoor seating, nice beach, fantastic views on the wide river, lots of shade and a well-cared lawn. Very clean, especially the bathrooms, which is amazing given that it's a pet-friendly cottage.Things to know: bring water shoes and binoculars to explore the islands. There's a huge garage at a neighboring property with some big machinery going in and out sporadically and lights on all night, but the treeline shades most of it out, except from the master bedroom. There's no dishwasher or washing machine, so come prepared!The host is very helpful and replies immediately."

"The cottage was a lovely renovated home with lots of room and so many thoughtful amenities. The covered deck overlooking the river was a favourite place to hang out and the propane fire pit a thoughtful addition. We did miss having easy access to swimming in the Ottawa River and would recommend bringing personal watercraft next time. But there was a wonderful beach near Beachburg that was a great place to spend a hot afternoon. The washer and dryer and utility cupboard were very appreciated, as was the wonderfully stocked kitchen."

"Caleb was great, the building is brand new and looks exactly like the photos. The property has all equipment needed if you would like to cook, and it was very clean and modern. There’s a pretty good cafe right next door and lots of things to do if you’re willing to drive about 20-30 min. I would definitely visit again."

"We fished a lot of pikes. The boating equipment was really nice to have. It really feels like we're on a boat, when we're looking through the kitchen and living room windows. The neighbors had a really friendly cat. We also enjoyed the books and also the fishing information on the available lake map."

"Great location on a beautiful river. It was a wonderful visit for our family, ranging from a teen to older parents. The hosts were great with checking in and communicating through our stay. My only caution would be to be careful with younger kids or swimmers that are more used to lakes. The river is great for swimming and kayaking but there is a current as you move away from the dock."
