Hotel Canoe and Suites

8/10 Good

"Perfect Banff stay! While it's about 15–20 minutes walking distance from downtown, the free Roam transit passes provided by the hotel made getting into town and to all the top spots super easy. The front desk staff were incredibly polite and helpful. The hot pools were amazing with a nice view, and happy hour at the Sudden Sally restaurant was awesome. Highly recommend!"

"The rooms are clean, and many fixtures are newer, but the rooms smell like wet ski boots and old microwave popcorn. When we asked to change to a different room because of the smell, we were told that we were upgraded to a suite. It smelled odd as well, and their idea of a suite is a MURPHY bed and a pull -out couch. As you would expect with those kind of things, the mattresses were thin and lumpy. They didn't share that information when they offered to "upgrade" us. I really regret booking there and would NOT recommend."

"good location , we had a 2 bedroom suite. The only thing was there was a strange smell in the rooms . It had a full kitchen ,2 bathrooms with showers . nice wooded location but on the main road to downtown . in the morning there was a view of the mountains through the trees . short drive to downtown . if it wasn't for the smell this place would be excellent. Off topic but if you want to go to lake louise , you need to be at the parking super early , if not there are parks canada shuttles that you need to book on line , we didn't know ."
