"Lovely touches in the rooms and at breakfast"

"KNOW WHAT YOU’RE GETTING: hotel and beach town in disrepair. Price per night is a cry for help, double what it should be. Obviously they’re trying to keep the place going but targeting the wrong audience. Why stay here: - you feel bad for struggling owners - graffitied ghost towns are your thing Why avoid - location - uncomfortable beds - smell + couch stains that will keep you awake at night Accommodations seemed appealing on the internet, the reality is we could not comfortably utilize anything because the smell and stains on the couch made our skin crawl. Thought we’d save the day by checking out the beach. Beach access was difficult to find and regretted. Every building along the beach was abandoned and graffitied. It’s the off season maybe things aren’t usually so bad? We pressed on. With four hungry kids we set out for dinner - nowhere to eat but a grocery store. You know the hotel room is not great when you take as long as you can at the grocery store so you don’t have to go back. Returned around 8:30 pm and surveyed more of the room. I contacted hotels.com to let them know the hotel misrepresented the accommodations. Nothing they could do but send reception over. Reception curtly told me that cigarette smell I reported was non existent and then it hit me… the smell wasn’t cigs but ozone. If you know, you know ozone machines are used to get rid of mold and bugs. Need I say more? They didn’t bother to assess the smell of spoiled food in the 2nd room. "

"Clean rooms. Beautiful surroundings. And the staff was awesome. We had the spa and massage and after a week we're still talking about it."

"The hotel was beautiful, breakfast delicious and all the staff was helpful and kind. Many close restaurants within walking distance. Ideal location to the train station. The shuttle bus to the port with the cruise ships leaves regularly from the front of the train station-a 5 minute walk. I’m in my 60’s and had a backpack and carryon sized rolling suitcase and had no problems."

"Dirty room, breakfast was a joke. They couldn’t even get us a taxi to the cruise port. I would never stay there again. "

"Ideal location, walkable from the train station, a straight forward walk along the promenade and walkable to the cruise port. Fillipe, our host was lovely, friendly and warm. The rooms were clean and extremely comfortable and the breakfast fresh and plentiful. Would definitely recommend."

"Francesco was delightful and extremely helpful. The room was very clean and a good size. Bathroom was also very clean. There were nice breakfast items available. Francesco arranged perfect transport to cruise ship, helping us get an early arrival and prompt processing. The building where Museum Guest House is located is historic with unique architecture. Lots of restaurants available in easy walking distance. Quite a lovely experience and highly recommended. If we cruise out of Civitavecchia again, we will definitely use Museum Guest House for pre-cruise accommodations. Thank you, Francesco and team! "
