House was adequate for our girls weekend. The one drawback was the traffic noise (constant) when sitting on the backyard patio and firepit.Ktichen very well equipped but make sure to bring your own bathroom amenities!

Nice house, well located

Good house located between Canandaigua and Naples — two cute towns with wineries, restaurants, etc. Sleeps 8 comfortably but only 1 bathroom means you need to plan; also really only parking for 2 cars. Two doors down from a public lake beach. Nice area, nice house

Good location, limited amenities, no personality

Communication with large detached organization (Vacasa) left much to be desired. House itself is in a great location - about 250 feet from Deep Run park which is directly on the lake, has a coarse sandy beach, and (from Memorial Day to Labor Day) lifeguards and swimming. Sunset views there are amazing. House is older and has been updated with cheap laminate floors and coats of 2020s neutral paints to look passable. All appliances work fine. Plenty of bedding is provided. House is cleaned well but there was a mouse in our kitchen during our late September stay. Vacasa seemed not to care about that when we mentioned it. I captured the mouse and put it outside. During our stay someone came by the house in a van, got out, and walked around the property a couple of times. We assume this person was a contractor/vendor of some kind (their vehicle had no such markings and they didn't try to announce/identify/introduce themselves). The person left after 15 min. We were surprised to have an unexpected stranger parked in front of the driveway and walking around the house. Reported this to Vacasa via app without a response. Texted local contact who said they would check with the owner. Heard nothing further from them. Hopefully in the future owner/Vacasa will alert guests about when they might expect others on the property. We've stayed in many similar places; this is the first time we've felt nobody really cared about us as guests.

Canandaigua Trip

The listing was accurately presented by VRBO. Suggestion: if the host could provide a few more seasonings, coffee filters, sugar, etc. it would be helpfull. All they had was one pepper shaker.

Quaint

Nice cottage & very peaceful area. Could’ve provided a few more every day items like extra kitchen garbage bags and salt/pepper but over all clean & quiet stay. One slightly annoying setting was the bathroom light which went on by a motion sensor. Overall a nice feature, just not at 2am:(

Cozy Cottage

Rented the house for a CMAC concert, stayed 2 nights. Nice place, within short driving distance to city of Canandaigua. Great area, still building and expanding.

The pictures look better than the actual place.

There was a day when it rained a lot. The closet ceiling in the main bedroom was leaking all over our clothes. It looked like they tried to "fix" the leak by stuffing a plastic bag in the hole. So that tells me they were fully aware of a leaking roof and have not done anything about it. They also must have other water issues because thee was a pole holding up the gutter at the back of the house. There are ants on the kitchen counters, no matter what we did to clean them up. There are lots of steps in thresholds, so quite a few trip hazards built right in to the house. You have to step up to get in the bathroom and then step up again to use the toilet. There was a light in the bathroom that was a motion light. So when you get up in the middle of the night you are blinded by the spotlight in the bathroom. There was no way to turn it off. It's a nice location by the park, but unfortunately while we were there a sign was posted that there are algae blooms in the lake and it was not safe to swim. So we could not use our kayaks that we brought. All in all the house was okay, but it definitely needs some work around the outside. We were hoping to barbeque but the grill was an electric George Foreman type grill. The kitchen is spacious, but could use more coffee cups. There were only 4 when the house allows up to 8 people. They need a lime squeezer and some tongs to use with the barbeque.

Affordable option for the area. 30 seconds from the beach. 1 bathroom (as advertised) is a bit tough for 6 people. House is clean and great location. Vacasa reached out on the first day. Thanks!

Lake Stay for Family Birthday

We had such a nice time here - stayed with my parents (mom was turning 60), sister and boyfriend and it was just enough room for us. Everyone raved about the patio, firepit and beautiful lake location. Unfortunately, mom fell our first night due to uneven surfaces, so would recommend leaving the porch light on at night or investing in a night light. Only other thing we would have liked is one extra bathroom, but all in all a GREAT stay. Would go back again!

Awesome home

It is my second time staying here. Excellent location; walk to lakefront beach and quick drive to town. Very clean. Comfortable bedding. Great shower/water pressure. AC working great. Beautiful view of the lake from the front room and cute backyard with covered dining table and firepit. Property manager contacted me directly to be sure I didn’t need anything. I highly recommend.

Good location!

This was a perfect location for our brief getaway. Access to beach/lake just steps away from the house. Lakeshore resort area only a few minutes drive. It was too cold to swim and we drove to nearby walking/hiking trails. The house worked for two teens and two adults for a few days. May get cramped if staying more than 4-5 days. Very clean and well kept. Everyone slept really well. While there were enough kitchenware to cook, we took advantage of local restaurants and Wegmans prepared foods. I was not familiar with Vacasa who manages the property and initially I had challenges getting a response when I sent messages through VRBO. However, they quickly responded when I texted them. The contact, Erinne, communicated with me prior to check-in, answered all questions quickly, and was very helpful. My only issues with the space is that the eating area/nook was a bit small given the max capacity listed for this property. But if enjoying in peak season, the backyard works well. Also, I was surprised there weren’t additional garbage bags nor any recycling option. Overall, we enjoyed our time in this property and would consider returning.

Spacious and comfortable - near the water

The house is large enough for three couples without children or two with. In our case it was just me and my wife. The property is not lakefront but a public beach with tables and BBQ grills is about a 30-second walk away. The house was immaculately clean with all amenities one can ask for, including a washer & dryer. A gift-bag for the guests was a graceful touch. Three things that the host can improve: * The mattresses are almost punitively hard. They need to be changed. * One hotel-size bottle of shampoo is not enough for a stay of two people for four nights. My suggestion here is to invest in three dispensers (bodywash, shampoo and conditioner) that have become standard for the hotel industry. * Same goes for toilet paper: even in those tough times, a spare roll or two is not unreasonable to expect. Notwithstanding the above points, we had a very pleasant stay and would return with pleasure to this house for a repeat visit.

Immaculate property, great location

My family stayed this past week. A little bump with the keycode not working for the lockbox but spoke with property manager and they were very helpful and followed up. Looks just like pictures. It is less than a minute walk from beach that has picnic tables and grills. House also has small fenced backyard with tables and chairs and firepit with wood. Beautiful water view from sitting area in front of house. Huge smart tv. I would stay again and recommend.
