Ava is amazing it’s like staying inside of a mall that has everything you can want and more! My family and I stayed for 3 nights after staying at Hyatt Ziva and we all said Ava was the best stay for us. We will be back and we had our own Butler concierge to assist us with our needs during our stay!

The property is great if you are just looking for R&R in a beautiful setting. We stayed Mon, 7/14 to Sat, 7/19. Although we requested a reservation to the Black Iron as soon as we arrived, we were unable to get into it as it was fully booked all week. The resort is currently in a soft open status, meaning 550 of their 1800 rooms are not being booked yet, so it will only get harder to get into. A second steakhouse should be opened to accommodate a resort of this size. Things to consider: no ceiling fans in the bathrooms, there is just a slider door to the main bathroom & a swing door to the toilet, causing a lack of privacy as sound echoes throughout the room. Also the mirrors fog up quickly when the shower is in use making it hard for multiple people to get ready at once. My 14yr old was excited to enjoy the teen club, however she didn't want to stay or participate in their activities as there were mostly boys & only 1 or 2 girls there, & they weren’t her age. There were many female teens at the property, but the club & its activities were not properly promoted. For example, we stayed at another resort & the teen club leaders invited all new teens each day to participate in their activities. The teen club leaders would introduce themselves to families at the pool, etc & get them excited about upcoming activities. Butler service: our butler JJ was not very responsive. Lastly, the beach was not available to swim in. We loved the obstacle course, paddle boarding, & water park.

We recently stayed at your property from and feel compelled to share our experience, which was sadly well below expectations. Check‑in & Dinner Reservation Upon arrival, check‑in took nearly one hour, causing us to miss our dinner reservation. When we requested to secure a later slot, staff couldn’t guarantee it—this was very frustrating after such a long wait. Room Malfunctions & Maintenance Our original room had multiple issues: Our Safe did not work, the sink malfunctioned The managers arranged an upgrade the next day, but the new room was equally dysfunctional Balcony/patio lights remained out, Toilet failed I had to call four times in one day to request assistance—and even then, each response was slow or inadequate. Lastl was the Lack of Hospitality: Housekeeping never refilled our towels or bottled water, even after several reminders. On the last day, we placed a room service order that never arrived, and no one followed up. Overall, it felt like staff were more focused on tips than genuine service, and the resort lacked hospitality, excitement, and attentiveness. Small issues became large inconveniences because the team failed to proactively care. Given the severity and multi‑department nature of these issues—front desk, maintenance, On the last day, we placed a room service order that never arrived, and no one followed up. We were here in march of same year 2025 and let me tell you the service was so much better!

The seaweed is strong during this time cause a very horrible odor throughout the resort!

El servicio del personal es muy lento. Esperas hasta 2 horas para que te den la comida en la zona de alberca. También, se realiza una reserva a los restaurantes con antelación y aún así, esperamos hasta 30 min para ingresar al restaurante. No hay mucha diversión para los niños y para los adultos todo termina muy temprano.

Stayed at AVA for 6 nights with my family, we just got back, and this is how our experience was. We have been to Mexico so many times and stayed at different resorts everytime. AVA toped all of them and that's the honest truth. From the moment we arrived the warm welcome, and check in process, and accommodating some of our requests, made us feel we made the right choice booking at AVA. The resort is beautiful, and all the rooms are ocean view. Never do u have to look for chairs by the pool, there is plenty, and you dont have to worry about towels either. Everyone is very nice and they do everything they can to make your stay joyful. The restaurants are amazing from service to the actual food. Even the food selection at the buffet is amazing. I have special shout out to the following who truly made an impact on our stay. Angel liborio He was our Bell Man, he was amazing by giving us tips on the hotel and helped us with everything we needed. Leonardo and Roger The bartenders at the bar next to the Black Iron Those guys give you entertainment while making you the best drinks . Alex, Alex, and Carmen who are in charge of the water activities. Not only they would remember you and your names but they make sure to get to know you on a personal level which made even our kids very comfortable and enjoyed the activities. Overall I highly recommend AVA Resorts and I would definitely book it again.

I was genuinely excited to stay at what was advertised as a 5-star, brand-new resort. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from the moment we arrived. The resort is still under construction, and even the areas that are supposedly completed are already showing serious wear and tear. The construction quality is clearly cheap — things are falling apart before the resort is even fully open. Our room was clean and housekeeping did a great job, but the rooms already have visible dents, dings, and signs of poor maintenance. The hallways smelled awful, likely due to the carpet absorbing moisture from the nearby pools. It had a strong, moldy odor that was hard to ignore. The restaurant experience was equally underwhelming. The reservation process is a hassle — you basically need to book before you even arrive because day-of availability is non-existent. The steakhouse was mediocre, the French restaurant was so bad I left hungry (the shrimp cocktail smelled off, oysters were unavailable, and the remaining options were disappointing). The Italian restaurant was the best — mostly thanks to our excellent waiter. The Mediterranean spot had decent appetizers, but the main dishes were terrible. As for the pools — they were not well-maintained. Lounge chairs were constantly dirty, often covered in bird droppings, and staff around the pool were not attentive. The food offered poolside tasted like it came straight from a microwave. I will not book Ava ever again

The entire resort had a luxurious atmosphere, and the nightly theater shows were different every day, which made each evening exciting and fun. The food quality at the restaurants exceeded my expectations—especially the Mexican restaurant and the steakhouse, which were both outstanding. Most of all, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole stay even more comfortable and enjoyable.

I would like to start by saying that our expectations for the property were not met. While this stunning resort is beautiful, it is still under construction. My family stayed in a lovely suite for six nights, but maintenance was only performed once. I did not put up the "Do Not Disturb" sign because I prefer my rooms to be cleaned, especially with five little ones. I called several times to request cleaning services, but I felt misled when I was told someone would be sent. The employee who checked us in, a woman named Jasael, had a poor attitude. During our five-day stay, my family witnessed two employees arguing—one incident occurred by the pool and another in the buffet area. Both altercations involved inappropriate insults. Although the food was beautifully presented, it lacked flavor. Another family we traveled with became very ill after dining at the hibachi restaurant. In summary, while the resort is beautiful, it needs better management and oversight of its staff.
