This hotel is wonderful. It is not perfect, but it is great. Let me states some pros and cons. I'll start with the cons. The food was a hit or miss for me. Some of the food was very bland like the chicken tacos and most of the food at the Italian restaurant. That restaurant is only open for dinner and a reservation was needed. The service there was bad, too. We waited too long for below average food. It was also really disappointing that the Italian place is the only place that pizza is guaranteed to be available. One of my kids REALLY loves pizza. They did have tacos every night at The Grill. I can only recommend the asada tacos. They were great! The chicken tacos were really bad. No flavor whatsoever. The buffet is also hit or miss, but the are more hits there.
Now onto the pros. The restaurant by the beach is awesome. I think we tried everything there and loved it all. At night a reservation is needed, but it is very worth it! I think you do need to be in a room at The Level to get into that restaurant.
We had two rooms at this hotel and both had great views. The AC in the rooms was top notch. It felt great to go to the rooms for relief from the heat.
The waterpark was a nice added bonus to the hotel, but it was not for us. We preferred the BEACH. The beach really made this hotel the BEST. In the past we have stayed at hotels in Cancun where the beaches are not good. The beach was SO GREAT that we never set foot in any pool. I highly recommend this hotel.
