Our visit to Ventus Ha was 4 out of 5. The grounds have lush vegetation. I was shocked that I didn't get any mosquito bites with all the water features and I always get bitten. Food- specialty restaurants were superb. Italian-get the swordfish! Margarita pizza, clam chowder were great too.A'kat-the chicken at lunch was our fave. That bread with green sauce! Ask for Elvis.French-quiche Lorraine, onion soup,pork loin & creme brule. Room service is 24hrs and it was top tier. Cheese quesadillas and cheesecake hit the spot. Drinks- chahouk at waves bar was our fave. Margaritas were good. Specify a particular brand. El Jimador tequila, Barcelo solera rum were our choices. Dos equis on tap. Pools - plenty of options but unfortunately they were cold. We spent our time in the largest hot tubs we've ever seen. Towel cards are a bummer. Rooftop pool had plenty of places to relax with a bar but no food. Beach is nice to look at but not swimmable due to the seaweed and the large barriers. Kept seeing kids slide on the barriers because of algae. Room - cleaned daily with thick duvet and blankets. Pillows were heavenly. Plenty of soap, lotion & bug repellent was a nice touch. Hated the room key is a card. Loved the chain for the door. Tip the mini bar attendant for extra beer. Use of all 3 properties was a plus. Golf carts always willing to give you a ride. Please tip a dollar or 2. Negative-buffets are very limited & not good. Beef wellington was cold. Breakfast was very lacking.

The room was very nice. We stayed at Ventus Ha. Food was good, although a couple times we found there were very little options. The kids enjoyed the pool with the slide except the water was FREEZING! In fact, it was freezing in every pool except the one heated pool. The beach was the big disappointment for us. The main beach photo on Expedia is completely misleading. There are these massive barriers all in the water to prevent beach erosion (from what we were told), but it literally means you can’t swim in the ocean. We know of a few people that actually walked off site to the front of another resort further away just to swim at a nice beach. The staff were all friendly. Shows were good! We weren’t able to get any dinner reservations, so for this reason and the awful beach, we would not be back. Also a good portion of the resort is actually timeshare owners. So if you like a lively fun resort, this would not be the place.

Our stay at Ventus El Cid had several frustrations that made the experience disappointing overall. For the first 5/7 nights we couldn’t get dinner reservations at all, and after that the only times available were around 9:00 PM, which is very late when traveling with kids. Even when using the buffet, there were long lines 45 min or more every evening. We were placed in a room right next to construction, and the noise woke the kids multiple mornings. Room upgrades were available, but only for an additional $60 per night, which felt excessive given the circumstances. The resort advertises 50% discounts on activities when booking through Expedia, but these discounts were not consistently honored — for example with spa massages $379USD. Laundry services were also very expensive; washing just 2 pairs of pants and 2 sweaters cost about $50. Internet access was limited to 2 devices per room even we were 4 , and you must pay extra per device per day. The internet also cuts off immediately at checkout time, which felt unnecessary. Late checkout is charged, and even after paying for it, our door cards stopped working at noon and had to be reactivated. Another surprise was that “all-inclusive” guests are not allowed in the executive member pools or certain areas, which wasn’t made clear beforehand. Overall, the resort has potential, but the extra fees, and inconvenience around dining and room issues made the stay more stressful than relaxing. Contacted Expedia.! NO HELP!

Absolutely amazing stay. The service was the best I’ve ever had, and the food was incredible. All three hotels were beautiful, with HA being more secluded and quiet, the rooftop infinity pool is incredible! While the beach isn’t ideal for swimming, the many pools more than make up for it. Tons of great restaurants on site.. be sure to make reservations early as they fill up fast. Truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you to all the staff for being so attentive and nice!

Property was clean and service was really good. However we did not get an opportunity to choose a restaurant to dine in and also junior suite did not have ocean view as shown in pictures on expedia, we ended up paying extra for room with Oceanview.

Spotless resort! Amazing hard working staff. Great food. Great kids club. Only complaint are the cold pools and beach. But knew that coming in. We had a great family trip and would return!

Great variety of food options, great entertainment for adults and children, beautiful rooms and well kept properties. Would highly recommend. Travelled with four children (7-12 years old) and two seniors. We were a group of 8 occupying two rooms. We had a 15-20 minute wait for the dinner buffet one night of the seven we were there - perfectly acceptable as there is a lobby bar beside the entrance to the buffet.

Room and staff was excellent! We have stayed here many times but this is the first time the infinity pool was not heated. We usually use that pool all the time, this trip nobody was using it as it was too cold.

The rooms were amazing We had a king room and 2 queen room both were kept spotless The hotel listened to my requests Our butlers were fantastic and took care of everything The amenities were beautiful The food was fabulous Cant say enough good things about this hotel
