This charming, dog-friendly cottage in Cannon Beach offers a prime location with close proximity to the beach and town. This rental is one of six cottages at Hidden Villa Cottages centered around a lovely courtyard with a babbling brook. The rental also has cable and a DVD player.

What's nearby:
Surrounded by other rentals, this home is just a short walk from the beach for beachcombing and Haystack Rock for tide pooling. Town is also a short walk away, offering a boardwalk lined with shops, galleries, and eateries. Cannon Beach Resort is just two miles away and provides public laundry facilities.

We arrived earlier than we intended and i was told previously we would be able to check in early. They wouldn't let us even though the property was vacant when we arrived. I practiced begged them since our toddler was very upset, we had groceries that needed to be put away, our toddlers birthday cake which i transported 4 hours and wanted to get safely inside and two dogs. They didn't seem to care about that or the fact the tv was broken. The location was good.

Cozy set back group of cottages

Quiet, self guided place. There is no host to make the place feel personalized but the quality of the stay seems to have improved from previous stays by other guests. Just a few blocks from the beach this group of cottages are off the main drag enough that most things passing by are pedestrians. Parking was convenient and the neighborhood is very quiet. The space was small but as advertised. Clean: Floors, sheets, dishes. The shower stayed warm after a bit and the water out of the faucet is cold and drinkable. It’s a basic beach bungalow so if you come with a few of your creature comforts, it will improve your stay. Coffee pot, kitchen utensils, dishes, stove and oven were all as advertised. A great place for the self guided. If you are looking for a checkin person and someone to fix what ails ya, perhaps another property will be more satisfying. It was a great fit for 2 parents, a 12 yr old and small dog during the july 4 holiday weekend. Cannon Beach is fireworks free for those who are boom sensitive.

Two adults with 2 dogs was crowded. Parking was good, but on busy weekends it could be hijacked leaving you with no close parking. It's a great crash pad, but not a spot to hang out.

disappointment an Thanksgiving vacation

we arrived with no issues. place was not as it appeared or described. dirty washcloth in the shower. fence builders outside of our window. not a quiet area. we moved out after one night and stayed with friends. last year (september)we had a vacation in sisters, oregon. I selected a particular house that I knew has large windows to let the light in. twenty minutes before we arrived I got a text that the place ( I had chosen and was confirmed) was not available. we were given another house to stay at and it was a huge disappointment. thanks anyway, The Blodgetts

You get what you pay for

Economical. Clean. Great location. HOWEVER - absolutely terrible communication with management. Gave us the wrong door code and didn’t respond to us for 8 hours. No effort was made to fix the problem - we found a solution on our own.Came home one afternoon to find two men fixing something inside the cabin without giving us notification beforehand. Unprofessional and disconcerting.

Excellent except for wifi issues

We had a great stay. The only issue was the wifi being unreliable. It went out twice during our stay and it took hours to get it turned back on. I understand things happen, but when I called for assistance, I was sent to a call center in Salem, rather than to the local manager. Once I got local help, the fix was quick.

Great experience

We had a nice stay. We were just here overnight but everything was clean and ready for us. The whole process was pretty easy and we booked last minute. I did want to let you know that when I was putting back the shower sprayer a piece came off. I left it on a shelf in the bathroom.

Nice spot for dog owners

We got the key as described in the instructions. Parking was ok, but staff took up 3 spaces with 2 cars, not possible to park on the property on the second day. The location is good, near the ocean, restaurants, shops and Ecola state park. There are a full set of dishes and fridge if you want to maybe your own meals. Several ways to heat the cottage so warm and comfortable. Overall nice place to stay.

We still have back/ neck pain

Only thing good about this place is the location. Bathroom reminded us of a small RV size room. Queen Bed is squeaky and extremely uncomfortable. I slept on the day bed after the first night as the noise from either one of us moving woke the other. The day bed is all broken in and I needed to sleep in fetal position to protect my spine. The refrigerator is a Jr. size so forget about a Costco trip and the rusty stove was unlevel with only 1/2 of the four burners working. Running the gas fireplace for heat triggered the CO monitor so we needed to keep a window open as there is extremely poor ventilation. It is Winter and freezing. I would put this room @ the level of a 1960's Motel....if the saying Lipstick on a Pig makes sense to you - avoid staying here. This review was written two days after we left the property as I was going to write during anger but decided to hold off and list facts. Should have stayed in Seaside for less money and a bigger, better room.

Property was clean forthwith most part very small, amenities not as described, fire place not working stand up heaters trip the brakers, beds not confertable lumpy, and saggy , internet sporadic.
