“Staying at this property is a unique adventure. After a few days we settled in, but there is more the hosts need to disclose before people book. "43 acre private property" does not suggest there are many houses next to one another, which there are. We thought we'd be all alone, and there was a house a few yards from us. You don't learn about the wildlife - stray dogs, roaming cattle, bear, etc. until you read the check-in book. They should disclose this before people book, not after you are……

The location is in a small community and everyone was super friendly. The house had great outdoor space, which was awesome for us because we brought our 2 dogs. “Turkey Lodge is a beautiful home. So peaceful and beautiful, high in the mountains (8,700 feet more or less). Wild life and birds were fun to watch. “The cabin is a treasure- immaculately clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and pretty plates, the bed in the master had a good mattress and the linens and towels were luxurious. The living room was cozy and the deck was the perfect spot to recharge from a day of hiking and watch the hummingbirds. Initially I was concerned when I read that a 4-wheel drive vehicle was required but we had no problem with our Honda CRV.”
