“The house was great. The wrap around porch was great. You can walk to the beach and to town on a beautiful trail with sloths and monkeys. We would recommend this home to everyone. ”

“We had the most incredible stay at Casita Tucan. Starting with the check in process- so smooth and the hosts were extremely accommodating letting us leave our luggage in the main office before check in so we could go explore. Staying in this house is an experience unlike anywhere else. You are quite literally in the jungle. The house was surrounded by sloths (a mom and baby), tons of capuchin monkeys, and the best was being woken up by the howler monkeys at 5am. Puerto viejo is such a fun little……

“This place was GREAT!! From the house, the beach, the private pool, the nightlife, people and food. Close to most things and lots of shopping. Take advantage of not having to do your own laundry and fully enjoy your stay as we did. Ricardo was helpful and all were very responsive and communicated well. Highly recommended if your looking for large home with private pool, close to beach. Careful swimming in the ocean as there can be large waves and riptides. Safety first!! Plenty to see and do……

“Gigantic 500 year old ceiba trees met the ocean a short distance from this house.Trees filled /w seeds were perfect to watch toucans, aracaris, guan other tropical birds. We saw troops of spider monkeys swinging through the trees by 'our' secluded beach…loved it! heard howler monkeys every morning. Home had a great set up … Loved the layout of kitchen the A/c, many fans,.Appreciated the big tv at night the reclining chair. We felt very safe at all times though in the jungle, there are homes……

“This beautiful house is surrounded by lush jungle and wildlife. Stunning. There is no A/C, but the house is well ventilated. Most nights were cool, only 1 was a bit hot. Wifi was reliable for the most part. This is an eco-friendly property so you cannot flush any paper products. We did not have any cleaning services during our 4 night stay. It would have been nice to have had the garbage removed and towels replaced. No laundry. The pool area is spacious and was cleaned every morning. The beach……

“What a beautiful property. We had 10 of us plus a one year old baby. We love the swimming pool. Every couple had their own room and bathroom. Yves (our host) Was awesome. He took great care of us and had perfect recommendations. We literally sat in the pool/house and watched about 15 monkeys in the tree above us and a sloth. Great little community with lots to do and amazing beaches. ”

“This property is in a wonderful location! Close to the town and all the beaches! It’s a short walk to playa Negra, a store, and a wonderful restaurant! The pool was wonderful in the evenings and my teenagers enjoyed during the day! We always felt safe and we walked several days! We became friends with Martha the lady who cleans! She was precious and made sure we had towels for the pool and bath!”
