"The lady who checked us in was super helpful, spending more than 30’ with us explaining everything and giving us a list of restaurant recommendations (including what to avoid). Breakfasts were nice (although cold options only). The room was spacious with a great sea view. The location was right in the old town but quiet, just a flight of steps to get up to the church square. Park at Aparcamiento Palau de Altea so you have a gentle slope to walk up the old town."

"Our stay at Santa Bárbara Hotel was fantastic. The location in the heart of Altea’s Historic Center is perfect — everything is walkable, from restaurants to bars. The view from our room was stunning and made the experience unforgettable. The staff is genuinely friendly, and Madara welcomed us warmly with great recommendations — the communication throughout our stay was excellent. Be mindful that the hotel doesn’t offer parking since the area is fully pedestrian, but it was totally worth it for the charm, comfort, and overall experience. Highly recommended."

"We had a wonderful stay in Altea. The location is perfect, right on the beach, which felt peaceful and almost like having it to ourselves. Cafés, restaurants and supermarkets are just 5 minutes away, the train station is a 10 minute walk, and the old town is around 20 minutes away.The sea view from the apartment is spectacular, and having a private parking space was very convenient. The host was easy to communicate with and very helpful. The apartment has everything you could need, from beach chairs and towels to a washing machine, cooking essentials and even books. It is bright, quiet and has access to both indoor and outdoor pools.The only downside was that the bed mattress and sofa were a little uncomfortable and could probably do with replacing. Overall, a lovely and very relaxing stay."
