Hi there. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and we able to make use of all our amenities, including Refreshment Hour snacks. Sorry you found the Strawberry and Almond Baked Baguette French Toast too sweet; it tends to be a guest favorite especially since it doesn't require syrup. I do recall upon check in, explaining to you and your husband how we are having to handle room refreshes. Plus, we now have an In House Guest Portal which, is a more convenient way of communicating with us with regard to any needs you may have. This information is also laminated and placed on your bed as there are other key notes for a relaxing stay. Hello, Unlike hotels, every B&B is different and puts their own spin on breakfast. Our breakfast consists of two courses and changes daily. The first course always consists of fresh fruit - it could be prepared with yogurt, granola or a homemade sauce. The 2nd course alternates between a sweet dish and a savory dish. While I do apologize that you did not like our homemade peach and almond oatmeal bake with homemade bourbon peach sauce, it is always well received by our guests. The To-Go muffins, that you mentioned, are for our guests who check out early or are not able to stay for breakfast. Rather than send them away with nothing, we feel this is a nice gesture to give them something to take with them. We love our guests and always strive to give the best experience possible! Hello, we are glad to hear that you enjoyed the amenities and atmosphere at the inn. The Rose room on the top, 3rd floor is our smallest and least expensive room - it is only fair that the smaller square footage is reflected in the price. The three other rooms on the 3rd floor are large suites at 450, 323 and 276 square feet. The inn was built in 1871, as a historically registered building, it does not have central air - all common areas and guest rooms have window AC units. I do understand, in the summer months, the 3rd floor hallway may not be as cool as the rest of the house. Like many Cape May B&B's, there is no on-site parking, but there is always street parking available. The inn sits on Columbia Avenue (it is one of the few streets in Cape May that is not metered). While it may be more difficult to find a parking spot during holidays and summer months, once you find a parking spot, leave your car there, as Cape May was made for walking. The inn is located in the heart of downtown Cape May - one block to the beach, great shopping and restaurants. Kindest regards, Amy & Jeff
