“The hotel location is amazing and the staff are so friendly. Prices for food etc., are a little high, but considering where it is and the hotel "star" rating - anticipated. Surprisingly they do not offer a corkage service if you bring your own wine, so don't do this as they will take the bottle and return it to you when you leave.”

“What a unique and wonderful experience! The continental breakfast is very ample and delicious. I had the goat cheese and blueberry quiche, and there are 5 outstanding complimentary breakfasts to choose from. Upon arrival, the dining area was decked out from a weekend Alice in Wonderland dinner. A beautiful and creative display. The staff was extremely accommodating. The bed was comfortable; the room a classy Victorian style. The Silver Fountain is an adventure! ”

The host/owner, Bob will admit the property needs substantial renovations to the exterior but don't be misled. The property has it's charm and the location cannot be beat for the price. Park your car and forget it. Everything is within easy walking distance. This is our second time for this property and will definitely try to stay again next year. ”

“This hidden gem was perfect for us this weekend. We were the only couple staying, which was a surprise, but it was great because we had the house & indoor pool to ourselves. The back half was built in 1753 and the front half in the 1780, yet this historic home had all the conveniences of the modern world: snug windows, heated bathroom floor, and easy to control heatng.
