“Wonderful place to be based for a trip to Ireland. Loved the private beach, the views of the lake, fishing on the lake, and of course the donkeys! Enjoyed lots of days out around Mayo and Sligo. Mary was a lovely host! Highly recommend the venue as place to enjoy in and of its self as well as base to go exploring! ”

“We stayed as a family with two children for one week in July 2025 in this cottage.Good:It’s a spacious cottage set in a well-kept, large garden with a clothesline. The location is great for exploring the coast, Sligo, and the Ox Mountains, and it’s very quiet.There are four bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, and a kitchen with a washing machine. There is ample parking space.The cottage was clean and matched the pictures. The beds were okay.The landlady lives next door and was very friendly;……

“We were a party of seven adults and two dogs, visiting family and for birthday celebrations. There was plenty of room in the house and more than enough crockery etc. for our group. The location is great, just a few minutes walk from the beach. We ‘practised’ walking to the Beach Bar on several occasions! Sheila was quick to respond to any queries. And we had two weeks of Irish sunshine. A lovely stay and we would happily return.”
