Excellent stay

We spend 2 very nice weeks in Carcès. The house was situated in the medieval part of the town, very close to the shops, bakeries and nice restaurants. It was very complete and it had a beautiful terrace at height, that was situated between the tree tops. Perfect place to have breakfast or diner. The garden ended next to the river Argens where we went swimming every morning :-) In the village we also rent mountain bikes and made some nice trips. There are a lot of waterfals to be discovered in the surroundings! During our holidays there were quite a lot of festivities organized, the people of Carcès like to eat and dance ;-) and we also . The owners were very nice and helpful. Only positive things!

Summer week in Carces

Good, spacious property with lots of amenities for all ages. Kitchen very functional and well stocked with utensils, cutlery etc. Kids loved the outside space and pool. The owner--Anne-Catherine-- was most pleasant and helpful. We had a wonderful time in Carces, and really could say nothing negative.

Great home in a wonderful town!

The house is better than I thought it would be! It was very clean. We were 2 families staying at La Castelle. 8 people total. There was plenty of room, beds, toilets and showers for all of us. Everything worked great! The kids loved the pool and we adults loved the deck. We had a great stay and Anne Catherine was very accommodating. When we arrived she told us the pool pump was loud but we didn't mind. They came out and changed it and we never even saw them. It was very quiet after that but like I said it wasn't an issue for us. There was coffee, water and other amenities left for us. The kitchen and BBQ where great to cook the meals and the outdoor seating was especially nice. It was just over an hour drive to Parc du Verdon which was wonderful to spend the day at. We enjoyed Moustier Sainte Marie as well near the Verdon area. We also visited Cotignac which was a beautiful town only 6km away. Another nice place to go from here is to the Sallins de Cascade (waterfalls) 20 mins from the house. We didn't eat out in Carces as we usually ate at the house being it was so nice for us with 4 kids and 4 adults. Carces is a beautiful village to walk around and the Saturday market and Thursday night music and market was wonderful as well. We would gladly stay here again. The beds were very comfortable too! Het huis was heel netjes, schoon en goed voorzien van allerlei spullen: volledige keuken, tv, ventilatoren etc. Het terras van het huis onder de bomen is heerlijk om buiten te zitten. Je zit prachtig in het groen. Het huis is goed koel te houden.Het dorp Carces is leuk, de bakker is heerlijk dichtbij en een goede supermarkt is op maar 4 minuutjes rijden afstand. Het contact met de verhuurder is prima en er wordt snel gereageerd. Halverwege de schoonmaak en het schoonmaken van het zwembad is ook fijn.Ik kan iedereen dit huis aanraden!

Im Herzen der Provence

Wir haben ein großes, gemütliches Haus mit 3 Schlafzimmer, 2 Bäder und 3 Toiletten in einer kleinen, lieben Stadt mitten in der Provence zu unserer Verfügung gehabt. Die Ortschaft ist keine touristische sondern eine authentische, wo wir wie die Einheimischen gelebt haben. So wie wir uns gewünscht haben. Es war alles da was wir gebraucht haben und sogar viel mehr. Die riesige Terrasse unter dem Lindenbaum , der große Garten am Ufer eines Flusses und das Schwimmbecken waren Highlights nach unseren Ausflüge in der Provence. Ruhig, friedlich, entspannt. Nur der Parkplatz liegt 200-300 Meter weiter und man kann nicht bis zum Haus mit den Einkäufen kommen. Uns hat es nicht wirklich etwas ausgemacht, alle anderen positiven Aspekte waren für uns viel wichtiger. Wir werden diesen Unterkunft in schönen Erinnerung behalten.

A pleasant stay

We had a pleasant stay the holiday home in Carcès. The Gite is extremely well equipped. Not only does the kitchen allow to feed an army of guests with the multitude of plates, cups, glasses, silverware etc., lots of people would find a place in the huge garden on one of the numerous chairs, deckchairs, sunbeds etc. The house must be heaven for kids for they will not only enjoy the small and well-tended pool and the spacious premises, there are also lots of toys available. The house was very clean upon arrival, there were many basics for cooking (salt, sugar, oil etc.) at our disposal, the friendly owners were also quick to respond to questions and little flaws like a coffee maker in need of descaling. Why not five stars then? The location of the home at the outskirts of a little town brings with it some disadvantages, e.g. no parking on the premises. While we quickly got used to the short walk to the public parking area down the road, upon returning from dinner the last night, there was no spot available there due to the local night market. Having to cruise around in search of a parking spot at night was a nuisance that I could have done without. Besides, the house is hard to approach by car for (un-)loading as the streets are so narrow that not even a medium-sized car can squeeze through the alleys (which are, unfortunately, rather dirty). But other than that we can truly recommend the house.

Endroit calme et reposant

Nous avons séjourné un week-end avec nos enfants et nous avons passé un excellent moment au calme absolu. Emplacement ++ en étant dans le village et en profitant de la verdure! La maison est très agréable, fonctionnelle, propre avec un grand jardin ombragé et frais grâce à la proximité de la rivière en contrebas. De gentilles attentions des propriétaires ont complété le sans faute. Nous recommandons vivement.

Belle et grande maison super équipée!

Cette maison est parfaite pour passer des moments de farniente au soleil autour de la piscine tout en étant à proximité des commerces du village! Village charmant de surcroît! Les propriétaires sont charmants également, discrets mais présents en cas de besoin, ils font tout pour que votre séjour se passe au mieux! La maison est grande, très agréable et bien insonorisée, parfaite pour passer des vacances à plusieurs! Chacun a son espace tout en ayant des espaces communs où se retrouver, notamment la superbe terrasse ombragée où il fait bon prendre son café! Des jeux et des livres sont également à disposition! Bref, un endroit que nous recommandons chaudement!

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour, nous avons été bien accueillis par le propriétaire qui est très sympathique. La maison est super, spacieuse et nous n'avons manqué de rien. La terrasse nous a donné l'effet de loger dans une cabane dans les arbres, super pour nos repas de du midi comme du soir, nous avons profité de la belle vue du village depuis la piscine. La rivière en bas du jardin nous a vraiment fait nous sentir loin de tout, au calme avec un super paysage, j'ai adoré ! Encore merci pour cette escapade insolite à la campagne !

Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances, dans cette belle propriété, mieux dans la réalité que sur les photos, ce qui n'est pas toujours la cas. Nous avons pu profiter de la piscine, du terrain, pour le plus grand bonheur des enfants. La maison est très bien rénovée avec goût. Une mention spéciale pour Anne Catherine et Yann, pour leur gentillesse, leur disponibilité et la grande qualité de leur accueil. nous reviendrons assurément. maison bien aménagée dans quartier super calme tout en étant à 5 minutes à pied de la rue commerçante du village (office du tourisme, boulangerie, pharmacie, café, resto, petit s magasins) ainsi que de la partie historique du village. maison super équipée dans le jardin (mobilier de jardin, barbecue, jeux de piscine) , sur la terrasse, dans le séjour, coin wifi avec petite bibliothèque et jeux de société, moustiquaires,... très grand jardin C'est comme sur les photos! Accueil sympathique de la propriétaire disponible si nécessaire (mais pas vraiment besoin en dehors du rendez vous pour trouver la maison dans petite rue!) On n'avait réservé que 2 nuits( vacances itinérantes) On regrette de ne pas avoir réservé plus longtemps.Ca donne envie d'y revenir.

Nous avons passé un très très bon weekend entre filles dans cette maison que nous avons trouvée parfaite : du balcon perché qui donne l'impression d'être dans une cabane dans les arbres, aux chambres simples et confortables, en passant par la piscine rafraîchissante, parfaite pour une fin de journée post-randonnée! La maison est parfaitement équipée, nous n'avons manqué de rien et la propriétaire a été des plus agréables. La maison est proche du centre ville tout en étant au calme, ce qui nous a permis de ne pas toucher à la voiture du weekend. Bref, nous conseillons cette location sans hésiter!
