The Room was clean and tidy but the whole property is looking tired and in desperate need of being modernised. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was OK. There was a bar but the beer taps had a black bin bag thrown over them which did not look good. Walls to the rooms were thin so you could hear those in the adjoining rooms. Adequate parking if you are used to slopes!

We recently stayed at The Beacon Hotel, Cardiff. As a 3-star hotel, it’s fairly basic and not the most modern or spotless, but it was adequate for a short stay. The location is convenient for getting around Cardiff, and the room had the essentials we needed. Breakfast was enjoyable, with a decent selection to start the day. A special thank you to Fatima, who looked after us really well during breakfast. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Her service was definitely the highlight of our stay. Overall, a simple stay made better by great customer service.

The room was a bit tired, but the staff did mention that this wasn't one of the fully refurbished rooms at the moment. STAFF were excellent! Free parking with the right registration process is a God-send.

Our stay was okay overall and suited our purpose, especially as it was not expensive. The room was very basic, but it had clean towels, a clean bathroom, and the bed was clean when we arrived. However, there were some hairs left in the bathtub, which was not very pleasant to see and could have been cleaned more carefully. When we first entered the room, it was quite cold, but after turning on the electric heater it became comfortable. Fortunately, it was not a particularly cold night. In summary, it is a very basic hotel, but acceptable if you are looking for a budget-friendly place to stay for one night.

The room was basic and average, but my issues are with parking which I was charged 5 pound for each night, my major issue was that there was a heavy police presence which interruptted my stay and someone had ended up dying in the room 2 doors down, with police and the undertaker, this occurrence has really distressed me and my friend who stayed with me as we wanted a good night, my friend ended up sleeping in his vehicle as he was traumatised and didn't want to stay anymore, I was left in the room knowing what had happened and I could barely sleep, I will not be staying again & I would like a refund for this issue.
