It was very unique and accommodated our family gathering well. The stove/oven was not as pictured. The nice one had been replaced with one that looks like it should be in an apartment, not a “luxury” property. The hood in the kitchen was useless while cooking. There was algae growth in the pool and the exposed rebar and plastic pipes in and around the spa are quite unsafe. This property has so much potential, but it is definitely in a state of disrepair and needs A LOT of TLC.

Fabulous property!
We came here for a wedding in Carmel and this property accommodated our family beautifully. It was spacious, well-appointed and very private, with gorgeous grounds. We will definitely rent this property again for a future family vacation!

We all had a great time. There was plenty of room for sleeping and bathrooms. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub even though the weather was a little bit on the cool side and some rain we grilled every night and enjoyed the large kitchen so we could all eat together.

Best house we’ve rented
This house was really a fun and unique place to stay! Beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels, supplies, dishes, silverware, etc. and the cookware was good quality. Management was very helpful and provided a high chair and portable crib for baby. The hot tub was great even in cold weather. It’s a quiet neighborhood but close to markets, restaurants, wine tasting, Carmel, etc. We enjoyed a family of deer that visited the yard. Our family had a great time at the house!

Poorly maintained property
This is a very unique property in an nice location. It would be even better if if were maintained. Exhaust fan over the stove/oven did not work; when the a maintenance team came to fix it they found that there wasn't any fan installed. The shower in the master suite did not work; the plumbers replaced the shower head and it worked for exactly two showers before being reduced to a dribble again. The cable connection to the TV in the kitchen does not work. Although there is a garbage disposal visible under the kitchen sink, there is not obvious switch to turn it on. A message to VRBO/Luxe Vaca - if you are going to continue to list this place at the current rates, you really should do a better job of due diligence. It is fairly outrageous to charge what you do for something this poorly maintained.

Great location for Car Week
Great house for a guys trip to Monterey Bay for Car week - House we’ll accommodated 7 or us - it is well outfitted, comfortable, and peaceful. The house has nice grounds, a fire pit, and plenty of parking. It was our second stay in the house.

Great house for a gathering
We rented the villa for a long weekend with friends (11 adults and a child) and really enjoyed it. The location is within walking distance to restaurants, wineries, and markets. The home has comfortable leather couches so a large group can chat near the wood-burning fireplace. The garden is huge and well maintained with a full set of outdoor furniture, and the pool and spa were nice and warm. We had a private chef come and cook a celebration dinner and the kitchen was very well stocked with cookware and serving pieces. The fancy stove in some pictures has been replaced by a basic stove/oven, but it worked fine. The local property managers were very responsive over text. The religious decor is an interesting nod to the local mission, but I'd suggest removing crosses from bedrooms. We did notice a few minor things that needed attention, like loose stones by the pool, a missing drain cover in a sink, and a toilet tank cover that was broken and mended. The kitchen could really use a full set of drinking glasses, though there were plenty of cups. One of the bedrooms upstairs is an open room that has been screened off, a proper wall and door would be better. Overall it was a great option for our group and we'd consider returning.

Perfect property for extended families to get together
This property provided a perfect setting for our family to be together for a wedding at Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley. It is spacious, comfortable, well equipped, quiet, beautiful and unique. Dominic our contact was prompt and responsive. The outdoor space is gorgeous with uninterrupted views, a pool and hot tub, even a giant connect 4 game to entertain young guests. Plenty of space to hang out with family members, private rooms, fabulous kitchen for entertaining, quality furnishings, pool towels, blankets, everything we needed. Beautiful House Accommodates Large Groups
We loved our stay at this property. We were celebrating a co-worker and playing golf through the weekend with several couples enjoying the property. The large kitchen and living room area were great for conversations and group meals after long golf days. The property manager Manuel was prompt with his responses to our questions and needs. The pool was not usable during our stay due to a pump and algae issue, but Manuel made sure we were taken care of. I would recommend checking with the property manager prior a future stay just to confirm everything is working correctly. Overall we were very happy.

Nice large house fully stocked for a large group people
We had our group birthday reunion in this large house for a long weekend. The main house has 6 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. One bathroom is in master bedroom suite and two bathrooms are for the other 5 bedrooms to share. There is a separate cottage with a full suite of bedroom, bathroom and kitchen which we didn’t use. This layout was important for us since we had several couples to accommodate. The house is clean and spacious for us. The front yard has many space to park our cars. We had three cars. It should have no problem to park another three more cars. The host is very nice and prepared us with fully stocked kitchen and nice welcoming gifts. The location of the house is nice and quiet. There is a nice pool and hot tub. The house is fully of nice furniture. We enjoy our staying very much. Thank the host very much. Highly recommended to any 7 couples party. It is very hard to find such a large and nice house.

A perfect home for our Family celebration
We all so loved this house! Shout out to Manuel who was so helpful. Wonderful home, very comfy beds, very well equipped kitchen to cook our wonderful family meals, fabulous outdoors with pool and hot tub. Beautiful views of the mountains and the stars at night. 50 th Anniversary celebration
Shout out to the property manager Alex. He met us at the property and went over everything with us. We had been told there was a DVD player at the house. We were showing a special family DVD for our celebration. Alex made sure we had one the next day!!!!!! He was responsive to any issues over the weekend which we so appreciated. It was a memory making family weekend that will be treasured for years to come!!!!!

A little disappointing
This place is a bit "funky", with religious symbols and artwork everywhere. Someone in our party swore it was a converted church (it is not). It was not in the best of shape - two of the faucet handles were not attached, one of the showers took a long time to get hot water, then could not be turned down, both of the umbrellas were broken (they were taken away with the promise of being replaced, which they never were), one of the coffee makers didn't work, plaster crumbling around the spa and pool, etc. There wasn't enough toilet paper or kleenex to last the 5 days we were there. Although it's listed a s accommodating 18 people (including 4 thin mattresses shoved in a closet to be spread out somewhere) the only dining table only sat 8. On the other hand....The property manager Manuel was very nice and accommodating. The listing said the house had a CD player which it did not. I mentioned it to Manuel and the next morning he delivered a new portable player he went out and purchased. A very nice guy is was eager to please.

Should be a whole lot better
In October of 2021, we (12 men) had a very disappointing stay at this house. The basics are there for a fantastic property (large house, pool, great location), but the place feels neglected, and the description that it sleeps 20 is outlandish, particularly if you expect everyone to sleep comfortably. In fact, since we were 12 men, 7 men were great on either a queen or king bed, but 2 were on couches, 2 on flimsy child sized roll away mattresses and 1 was in a closet on a mattress on the floor. The management company was slow to respond (one of the two water heaters went out and no one ever showed up to fix it, we didn't get a response when we were trying to find the beds that were described), it was dirty (we had to clean some of the dishes prior to use and pick hair and fake eyelashes out of the hot tub), it was lacking clear instructions for using the amenities (luckily one of the 12 of us had a similar pad to control a hot tub and if you intend to use the pizza oven or fireplaces you should bring wood, kindling and matches) and just seemed unattended to (we had to fill both the pool and hot tub in order for them to be used). If you are a group that values time in the kitchen, which we are, this was also disappointing. Cheap pots and pans, chipped dinnerware, streaked glasses and an undersized and underperforming replacement stove all were indicative of a cheap vacation rental. When you're paying for a large "luxury" property in Carmel Valley, however, it's all pretty lame.

Beautiful property and beautiful views
Rented this house for our family when attending our daughter's wedding. It was the perfect size for us and a great location. Just a short walk to all the village shops and wine tasting rooms. The house had plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen was large and easy to cook in. The back patio was pretty much where we stayed. It was so beautiful! Saw wild turkey and deer every day. The property manager was easy to contact and quickly resolved a couple of issues that we had.

Seclusion Right in Town
Lovely home with many gathering spots for a family reunion. Unique home with many neat little areas. We loved the idea of the pizza oven, but had no idea how to use it and wished that there were directions concerning it. The pool wasn’t ready when we arrived, but management responded quickly when we arrived.and we also had to call the management to get the code for the gate. Instructions on how to use appliances, such as the gas stove and hot tub heater would also be very nice. The property is beautiful with beautiful gardens. You really could walk into town and wind tastings. It is right in town, but you feel like you’re not. We really did love our stay there and were sad to leave. Would love to stay there if ever again in the area.

Beautiful outdoor area. Great location. Pool great for kids but too hot to swim laps ( very shallow). Not enough beds. We were 18 but there were not enough rollaways as promised and fhose that were there werenot set up for our arrival. Bedding not prepared for 18. Many things broke while we were there and took long time to be fixed. Shade Umbrella at pool not secured and blew over nearly injuring kids. Door locks didnt work. Promised kid toys never arrived. Wifi initially not adequate. Packages seny to office not delivered in yinelymanner. Some never delivered although we were notified of delivery. Managers tried but too many problems for a carefree vacation.

Great Place, Great Location
What a fun house. Would love to know its history. We had 14 friends and were able to find a place for everyone to sleep. If you don't want to share beds, suggest letting the property manager know ahead of time (I didn't and she was very helpful and accommodating) so cleaners can make up roll-aways for you. The backyard is beautiful and has a pretty view of the nearby hills. We did not use the pizza oven but it looked like fun. The best part is being able to walk into to the little village for food, groceries and wine-tasting. So relaxing to not have to drive or Uber places. We rented e-bikes in Monterey and peddled along the coast to Pebble Beach Golf Club. We also hiked (walked) at Point Lobos which was stunning. All of us were from the Bay Area/Santa Cruz - fun to do a staycation from such a beautiful spot.

Beautiful rural estate with all your needs
This amazing renaissance home was perfect for our family/close friends get away. It was so pet friendly and the heated pool was so nice. Especially when looking at the stars at night! There was plenty of space for both humans and pups, lounging chairs and tables to eat at. There were extra rollaway beds for people who wanted their own bed and so many cooking amenities in the kitchen! For example, they had a waffle maker, pizza oven, French press, and coffee maker. There was a fire pit and hammock too! It was perfect for our professional photos to be taken and perfect secluded area for a private small vacation that was COVID friendly. I admit there were a couple of miscommunication events between the company LuxeVaca and me, but they were so accommodating, that it makes up for it. There is a property manager who lives close by if we ever needed help! They went as far as allowing me to check out the property before booking (since I wanted professional photos) and even brought down an extra table to allow us to seat everyone at the same table for meals. Overall, I would really recommend this Renaissance vacation home getaway.

A home for TALL people
Everything is HIGH, including THE BED, the KITCHEN CABINETS, etc. I would STRONGLY suggest that some kind of low stool be made available in at least the master bedroom to allow entrance into the bed to be safe. It is VERY hard to mount the bed if you are less that 5foot 9inches or so. House is lovely to see, clean and well located. We all loved being there.

Fabulous Accommodations!
Our family of 13 was accommodated nicely by this special and quirky property! Kitchen was a bit small for too many cooks, plenty of cookery and furnishings, servicing our needs well. Furniture boarded on antiques, but mattresses and bedding were comply and new. Once we figured it out, afternoons were spent making and eating homemade pizzas, cooked in the old pizza oven! What a great item, so knowing one existed, we brought plenty of dough and the local market handled all else. Patio furnishings, pool, and hot tub occupied most of our time, with plenty of lawn space for the games that we brought. A few minor items were noted, but a house like this should be expected to have a few imperfections, since nothing is truly perfect. I will end be saying our trip, because of the accommodations was truly an A-! An A- that I will make one of my family’s yearly summer getaways, For Sure!

Property was great for large family wedding. We had 11 adults (4 couples) and all had own bedrooms. Were able to use the pool and spa throughout. Would note although our weather did not require, house does not have air conditioning except for a unit in the cottage. The two rooms facing the pool do get warm from the day’s sun. Communication with the owner for assistance was great and response time almost immediate. Would suggest including some instructions in the house on using the hot tub and perhaps even the pizza oven if that made sense. Overall was a great place to stay in Carmel valley. Easy walk to the wine tasting locations and restaurants also. Would definitely book again. House did have rollaway beds but likely best for children as space in main house was limited for them to be used as separate beds for adults.

Bachelorette weekend for 20!
This house was spectacular! Spent a 4-day weekend here with a group of 20 women celebrating impending nuptials. Whomever built this place paid attention to every detail - the stone, wood, arches, windows everywhere, secluded spaces here and there, along with large living spaces to accommodate a group. The yard was gorgeous, with beautiful views, a great pool and spa, and lots of space for lounging, lawn games, BBQing, fires in the fire pit, etc. It felt super private and quiet, but was also less than a 5-minute walk to town. It was great to have a spacious guest house included in the rental as well. When we arrived, the hot tub wasn't hot, and the owner quickly sent someone to help us get it fixed. It worked well the rest of the weekend, and they also checked in with me by text to make sure we weren't having any issues. We had unseasonably wet/cool weather while there, but the house was so comfortable we didn't feel cooped up during the times we had to stay inside. We had the maximum number of people allowed (20), and in addition to the beds and rollaways they brought in, we had to use an air mattress (which we brought), but that fit well in the guest house along with the bed that's already there. The kitchen was well-appointed, including a nice basket of snacks waiting for us to enjoy, and all of the spices, oil, and other basics we could want. We had a beautiful weekend there, I would highly recommend it.
