Great stay

Very clean and well equipped 2 bedroom house. Safe area, easy to park the car under the property, quiet and close to the beach. I would stay here again.

Clean and comfortable

We enjoyed our stay at Dune Alright. The property was clean, well kept, and the hosts were very accommodating. Being in a central location that’s walkable to restaurants and the beach was also great.

Great little place with great location!

Great little condo to spend a few days! Location was perfect, within walking distance to pretty much everything at Carolina Beach. Michelle and Joe were very responsive as well. Highly recommend!

Great location and excellent place

Really enjoyed the location. Everything was walkable. Coffee shop, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Few more steps to beach or nice walking path around small lake/pond.

Fantastic Spot!

We had a great extended weekend at Dune Alright! The condo was clean, well equipped with the essentials, and perfect for our family. Very conveniently located to the boardwalk and all things great about Carolina Beach!

Great getaway in a great location!

The condo was perfect for our two adults and one dog. Neat, clean, and quiet. We love the location in town. Everything is very walkable whether you want a restaurant, the boardwalk, lake and/or the beach! Owners were super responsive and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we are back at Carolina Beach!

Just what we were looking for

This property could not have worked any better for us. Covered parking for our vehicle and small trailer, easy walking access to bars, restaurants, and the Carolina Beach Boardwalk, and very close to great dog park for our four-legged companions.

Beach Trip

Our mother daughter trip was fantastic! The property was a perfect location that allowed us to walk to the beach, restaurants, boardwalk and shopping. The unit was well stocked and cozy. Communication with the owners was easy and reliable. I will keep this place marked for a hopefully return!

Starting Traditions

It was perfect! Our hope is to come back year after year. We have been wanting to find a spot for an annual vacation at Carolina Beach, and even with our growing family, I think we found just that. The location was walking distance from the beach, but still away from the noise of the boardwalk at night (which is what we preferred). Looking forward to future vacations here!

Perfect for our family

Dune Alright was the perfect place to call home during our week at the beach (2 adults + a 4 y/o). We felt welcome immediately. They thought of everything. Proximity to the beach was a less than 5 minute walk, easy with a wagon to haul all the things. We tried several of Joe & Michelle’s restaurant recommendations and enjoyed them all! Would recommend adding SeaSpur to the list as well :)

Beach rental

Location is convenient, the kitchen was pretty well stocked. Upstairs is toilet only, no shower. Downstairs bathroom desperately needs new toilet seat and cleaner shower. Seating is not adequate if 4 adults rent, only one small sofa for 2.

Awful Views

When you looked outside every window. You either saw run down places or a junkyard that was directly next door. The place did offer coffee, cereal bars, sugar and creamers; however, everything had an expiration of 2023. Very unhappy with the place!! Would never go back.

Dog friendly and great location!

This property was exactly as pictured and well maintained. It was very clean (inside and out), furniture and appliances were in good condition, and the bed downstairs was very comfortable; there’s a bedroom upstairs but we didn’t use it. This property was very dog friendly. We have a toy poodle and a yellow lab we like to travel with but it’s difficult to find dog friendly rentals, especially ones that will allow 2 dogs and/or dogs over 50 lbs. This unit was on the end so there was a grass area and dog poop bag station attached to our car port, which was perfect for us. They don’t want dogs on linens or furniture, which was fine because we create our dogs when we are not home and at night. We were very happy with the location. It was easy to walk to restaurants and the public beach access. Multiple restaurants were within a 5-7 minute walk and there were two public beach accesses with a 10 minute walk. The unit is off a side street with sidewalks and was well lit at night.

Perfect Vacation Home in Every Way!

We travel a lot and only rent houses or condos and this place was by far my favorite! It was quaint, very clean, the perfect size, perfect location (public beach access directly across the street, Board Walk is a 2 min walk, and amazing breakfast house 1 block over, Squiggly Ice Cream on the corner), last unit of 4 so its private with its own enclosed porch/landing, site security, door code, ect. But our favorite things were the small touches, and the hosts! When we arrived the place was beautifully put together with such unique touches. Dog treats on the counter, dog bowls in the cabinet, a coffee bar fully stocked, full travel tooth brush kits, feminine products (name brand too!), makeup wipes, all the cleaning supplies including Tide laundry soap, foil, bags, charging docks in all the rooms, nice size throws in all the rooms, and expensive COMFORTABLE memory foam mattresses and pillows! At booking we have some issues with the app and the hosts were SO helpful and patient! They helped us during our stay and were VERY responsive. I will definitely look for this place again going forward, it was so perfect its a home I'd be willing to put my own name on as a host! Wonderful!

Horrible!

Due to the hurricane we were stuck inside and the owners wouldn’t budge on policy and refund any monies back. So since we were stuck inside we had time to notice spider webs in the bathroom light fixtures, trash cans with several weeks of trash in it, no poop bags in poop bag dispenser as promised, empty plastic bottle under sofa, most uncomfortable sofa ever sat on, dryer taken several cycles to dry one load of clothes, cooking pans outdated and unclean, one glass with a severe stress crack in it, we were afraid to use it, chipped coffee cups, stale coffee, deck smelled like piss, mattress in downstairs bedroom had a stain on it when removed bed clothes as requested and kind of filthy. I know they have a policy of no refunds after a point, but with the condition we stayed in and having to leave early in dangerous conditions, they have the authority to have mercy and at least give a partial refund. I would not recommend this place to my friends and family. We love Carolina Beach and this experience almost ruined it for us to where we were saying that we would never come back. I believe we will come back someday but definitely stay with a more professional organization. The people we met in CB were awesome ! We loved the shopping, the boardwalk until we kept getting rained out. We tried twice and got stuck in the rain twice and had to literally fight our way home, walking under an umbrella.
