Peaceful Villa

The villa is lovely and very well equipped. The garden and pool are great and very peaceful and there are so few players on the golf course you hardly notice them. We didn’t find the restaurants in el Portil to be particularly brilliant and the town is a bit uninteresting in our view.

Great visit to Huelva area

We enjoyed our 5 night stay over the new year holiday. The accommodations were as described and very comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied for home cooking. The house had not been occupied for some time before our arrival and was cold, but the mini split devices in each room were effective for heating. Working with the owner and the house manager, Emma, was very convenient and clear. If we returned to the area, we would consider staying at the property again.

Relaxing week in the sun

Lovely position overlooking the golf course. Very peaceful. Lovely villa with everything you need. Very clean. Quiet area out of the main season but easy to access facilities with a car. Great communication in the run up to and during the stay. Would recommend.

Great Family holidays

We had an amazing time! The house is big and comfortable, everything was very clean and tidy. The pool and terrace are the best of the house. We spend much of the time outside. All the rooms have AC but we hardly use it as the house is well insulated. Easy comunication with the owner and easy check in and check out. We will rent it again!

Complete silence

If you love nature and bird chirping while enjoying your morning coffee then you have found your perfect location. The house is equipped with all the necessary conforts and utilities for a great holiday (the only thing that I felt was missing in the kitchen were some new pans and skillets). If you don't want to cook you can eat delicious affordable food not 10 minutes away (10 euro for the daily menu choice) at Maravilla Restaurant. We really enjoyed it here and plan on coming back. Thank you Andy and Emma!

Lovely villa

We were pretty unlucky to arrive to a day of storm, dramatic rainfall and terrible gusts of wind, which is clearly not the norm for this area. The house manager responded swiftly and supportively to our electricity issues caused by this, thankfully. The house itself was great, lovely sized bedrooms and en suites, well equipped kitchen and cosy living room. The furniture by the pool was comfortable too. The area itself, probably bursting with life in the high season was very quiet. Shops and restaurants were open but lively would not be a good description. The golden beaches stretch for miles. We especially enjoyed the birdlife, hoopoes on the golfcourse behind the house, flocks of blue magpies, flamingoes close by, owls hooting in the darkness. Seville is within striking distance and there was a little life to be found in Punta Umbria. Recommended out of season, if you are looking for peace and quiet! And dont forget, the Spanish eat late!

A spacious and delightful villa

El Portil villa

Nice property. Close to golf courses. Surrounding area a bit dead in the evening although it is late in the season. Apple TV didn’t work, but luckily I brought my one over! One set of towels looked well worn. Overall it was ok for golfers!

Described as luxury on web site but would disagree - best described as modern villa.The location is very good although the town is modern and does not have a traditional town square. The area is very Spanish and caters for the spanish - we found very few restaurants where staff speak English, albeit it was a not a problem for us, it might be for others.In the evening the restaurants do not open before 8.30pm which was a problem for us with children.The villa itself does need maintenance , there were 8 of us but only 5 sunbeds plus the covers were badly stained. In addition there was a lot of rubbish stored [garden beds, barbeque, lounger covers, etc] in the garden that spoilt the overall image of it being a luxury villa. On a positive note Emma the local contact was extremely helpful and was available for any queries.Oh nearly forgot problem with ants in bathrooms and Kitchen.

Geweldig mooi en rustig

Heel mooi huis met echt alles erop en eraan restaurants en bars binnen loopafstand 1 puntje van aandacht is dat alle ramen voorzien zijn van tralies zodat niemand erin kan maar dan kan dus ook niemand eruit zorg dus dat de deur in de slaapkamer ook open kan

El alojamiento es bueno pero se echa en falta un mantenimiento mínimo de la instalación. Son pequeñas cosas que harían equilibrar la relación calidad/precio (colchonetas de las hamacas envejecidas, falta pinzas para colgar la ropa, cuchillos que no cortan, paredes que necesitan pintura, tapas de registro eléctrico que se caen, la puerta de la calle no funciona, etc.) en fin, el día a día poco costoso pero que está sin hacer. Sin embargo destacar como POSITIVO los aparatos de aire acondicionado en cada estancia de la vivienda y funcionando eficazmente.

Ubicada junto a un campo de golf y a quince minutos andando de la playa. Zona muy tranquila. Vivienda amplia y cómoda, bien equipada, cuidada. La piscina más que suficiente. Hemos pasado unos días en familia muy agradables y placenteros. Buena comunicación con la propiedad y la encargada.

Great Villa with extraordinary Pool - Top

We enjoyed our stay there really much, it is a very spacious villa. There is a golf course behind the villa - green view is guaranteed and to the beach and Restaurant it´s just a short walk.

Clean, spacious, quiet with a pool

Wonderful home with ample space for a decent sized group. For us (me, wife, 3 kids), it was larger than necessary but worked out wonderfully. The kitchen and included amenities served us well,; plenty of bathrooms for my pre-teen boys to get lost in; the pool, although cold, was stupendous. The only real negative we experienced was the lack of communication leading up to the actual check-in... we even engaged VRBO for assistance but they were useless. Overall 4 stars with 1 deducted for weak comms.

Wonderful family holiday villa

Great villa with superb pool. Fantastic layout to villa which works well for groups and families. Emma and Chris who manage the property were so helpful in sorting out baby/toddler stuff for us and Pete who looks after the pool and gardens kept the pool sparkling and clean for us. Great communication by the owner Andy when we first booked too. Very happy with the whole experience and made some wonderful memories with our family - thank you!
