"This facility was top notch 2-3 years ago. Our recent stay was underwhelming. Property looks tired, weeds in planters, furniture banged up and starting to come apart ( drawers and nightstand slide outs). The breakfasts were not that great either. The sausage gravy was like paper mache paste."

"A gem on I-75 When we stopped for a quick rest during a long drive, we did not expect this amazing hotel! To be clear, it’s not luxurious, but it’s new, clean, high quality, and the staff was accommodating and friendly. My favorite part was that the breakfast had some really healthy, tasty options - egg white/ veggie, turkey sausage, Greek yogurt, and oatmeal. Coffee was great and plentiful… Just so much better than we expected. Delightful change in a world where everyone is skimping."

"My family and friends had the best time at the lake. A before school trip turned out to be one of the best vacations this year. The location was PERFECT, the walk to the dock was so easy, the house included a boat slip which was perfect for us towing our boat down for the weekend. The dock included a covered swim platform that was great. The house itself was very clean, super comfortable, and had the best air conditioning that I’ve ever experienced in a lake house. Smart tvs were great for the kids and everything worked like a charm. We had groceries delivered after check-in and the delivery driver had no problem finding the house location either. Amazing spot, great host communication, and we’re already looking for a weekend to book next summer."

"We wanted a short getaway with our dog. Temperatures were so hot. Cumberland falls/river/lake was just the ticket to try and be cool. Our dog jumped in the river for the first time, and she's 3 years old! (Rather timid) The host was very personable. The area is quiet. Very animal-friendly."

"Property was everything that was advertised, very clean, and enjoyed the large deck and Jacuzzi,dock is amazing for fishing and swimming, The fire pit table was awesome w/morning coffee while watching the sun come up.Leigh is a great host"

"We stayed at Afternoon Sun for a long weekend bachelorette trip. We will be back to this property for friend vacations in the future. We had issues with the tram on our last day and the communication and response from not only our host, Ed, but the property manager/maintanence, Corey and Shawn, exceeded all expectations. The hospitality we received from everyone was above and beyond. We were so appreciative of how quickly everyone worked together to get the tram back up and running for us to enjoy our last day on the dock!! Highly recommend Twin Cove for boat rentals, the drive was easy and again, the customer service is unmatched! Already looking to booking our next stay. The hottub wasn’t working while we were there but we lucked out with fantastic weather and got to spend the most of our time down by the water with incredible views from the double decker dock!"
