“Our stay at The River House was absolutely perfect. The home is even more beautiful in person—charming, peaceful, and thoughtfully appointed with everything you could need for a relaxing getaway. Waking up to the sounds of the river and sipping coffee with that stunning view was pure magic.The property is spotless and well-maintained, with cozy furnishings and plenty of space to unwind. “I cannot recommend this home enough. I spent a fantastic long weekend here escaping the city fireworks with my dog. We enjoyed the early morning walks and bird watching and relaxing by the river in the afternoon. The house is clean and spacious and the kitchen had everything I needed. I was so sad to leave, and would love to return in the future. The George Washington National Forest is stunning, and this home is the perfect way to experience all of its beauty. ”

“Rose Cottage was perfect and a delightful place to stay with dogs. The house had everything we needed and was so organized and welcoming that we were quick to feel at home. Jessie was so kind when we met. The fire pit and axe throwing down by the creek was so refreshing and the dogs were wild about running about in the huge fenced in section of the yard. We also enjoyed the deck. We're eager to come back when visiting our family and hometown again soon. ”

“Fully stocked and clean..away from city noise but proximity to restaurants, grocery, within 5miles. Peaceful setting and if you like wild life the deer are plentiful. We loved seeing the horses everyday!! We would highly recommend staying here. ”

“We chose this place because online it looked unique, clean, on large property with creek frontage, It surpassed our expectations. The house has so many extra touches, including fresh cut flowers from the garden in a vase upon our arrival. Craigs Creek is larger than I expected. I have lived places that this would be called a small river and it is lovely. The property provided canoes and kayaks with paddles and life jackets. We checked in on Friday and Checked out on Sunday.
