「This was an awesome, and unique place. Beautiful woodwork, amazing windows and features. But it is 130 years old and things are definitely unique. We loved it. Never quite figured out the shower (n the Miracle room) but that’s alright. The staff was great. Matt, the bartender/waiter, was the highlight. Funny, yet professional. Talented. We would like to return. What an experience. We were there for a show downtown. Next time we will stay for dinner. 」

「Beautiful place!!!」

「Stepping into the Kalamazoo House felt like being transported back in time. The breakfast, prepared by a culinary chef, was absolutely delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. A truly wonderful stay!」

「Excellent place to stay in downtown South Bend. The proprietors are lovely people and the rooms are comfortable and clean. And a great breakfast too!」

「This was the perfect place for a quick 2 night mini-honeymoon after our wedding. The grounds and River House were beautifully kept. We rented a little EV cart to explore and it was the best decision, we really loved roaming around through the woods and taking in the beautiful scenery. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, the staff was very kind and helpful. My only wish is that there were options onsite for dinner and drinks at the cute little bar, but I understand the demand is likely not...

「We loved our stay and the hosts!」

「My son and I had a wonderful stay! The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, decorated with antiques, and well-stocked with everything we needed. Communication with the host was excellent from booking through check-out, and they were friendly, responsive, and accommodating. The property was well maintained. Mary is amazing and her homemade breakfast was the perfect way to start our morning. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again. Highly recommend this property...
