“This cabin was just what we wanted! Close to Jamestown and Bemus Point for sightseeing. Short drive to Long Point State Park, where we went fishing. The cabin was so peaceful and clean. The deck was awesome to sit and have coffee in the morning and glass of wine in evening , with an automated awning. We went in October and there are trees all around, The foliage was beautiful. Not recommended for anyone with toddlers or senior citizens, who can’t climb a spiral staircase up to the bedroom. The……

“We stayed here to watch the eclipse and were pleasantly impressed by the accommodations as well as the community. This is a community with a small town feel and warm and friendly small town welcome. The accommodations exceeded our expectation with a wonderful deck with gas fire pit/table as well as patio table and chairs. The amenities were also very lovely with a chilled bottle of wine and filtered chilled water pitcher in the fridge. I am forgetting to mention the coffee choices we enjoyed as……

“Ken is our favorite host of all the rentals we have visited! It is rare to find a rental that is so thoughtfully and artistically accessorized as this one. Wherever you look there are little special touches that set this rental apart. The flowers and picket fence out front are indicative of the charming interior. The location is perfect. It is easy walking distance to everything in Bemus Point, the market, restaurants, and ice cream. And a short drive to Chautauqua Institute. We were the envy……

“Great location, able to walk everywhere- market, restaurants, church, and the lake. Plenty of bedroom space, well appointed kitchen. Most is in good condition. Nice big dining table and chairs for meals and games. Easy parking. Drawbacks- steep, narrow staircase to beds and bathroom. Several uneven thresholds. These can trip even the careful. I don’t think I would recommend for elderly or small children because of stairs. That being said, the place had old fashioned charm with modern comforts.”

“The apartment is very private and has a seasonal view toward Lake Erie. Private deck and loved drinking coffee in the morning from the deck while watching the birds (even saw a pair of eagles). Nice restaurants nearby in Westfield, and a short walk to Lake Erie. 20-25 minutes to Chautauqua Institution. I loved my week there and will definitely back.”

“We visited on a very cold winter weekend. The apartment was freezing when we got there but we were soon able to warm it up and enjoy. Accidentally blew a fuse with the space heater and kitchen appliances but the owner took care of it right away. Ample street parking, short drive from downtown. Highly recommend the National Comedy Museum!”

“Cozy but needs work to insulate against outside elements and noise from an attached unit. Time to invest in blackout shades for the bedroom and a refrigerator that properly seals upon closing. An electrical outage was scheduled for the entire town and though the property owner was made aware they still rented to us and made no mention of this 12 hour outage. After being without power all day on Saturday, no adjustment was made to credit our rental fee. The town is normally quiet and peaceful.”

“We decided to go to Jamestown to visit the Comedy Hall of Fame. We decided on this condo and community as it was near the lake. Also was close to wine country on Lake Erie. Both were worth the visit. The owner Samuel was very helpful during our stay plus giving us suggestions for Dinning out.”

“I've stayed at many VRBOs over the years but Blue Oar has really set the bar high for me from now on. Firstly, the location setting was perfect. A quiet street with gorgeous lake views that can be enjoyed from the large front porch with comfy seating to include a relaxing porch swing. There is plenty of parking. And lots of outside space as well, not only there at the house, but at the private beach area that has a cool firepit and a dock with seating. When we were there it was too early in the……

“Very comfortable cottage with a great view of the lake. Cold weather prevented full enjoyment of the outside deck, but enclosed porch and well-thought out interior still made this an excellent choice without being weather-dependent. Perfect spot to rest and recharge - I look forward to returning!”

“The property is cozy with 2 bedrooms and lots of light filled areas to hang out. The property is very recently renovated and everything is clean and new. The setting sun gives a great show every night over the lake. The location is easy driving to downtown Jamestown which has some nice coffee (Crown Roasters) and restaurants.”
