The stylishly renovated “Terrazzi” vacation apartment is located in the car-free mountain village of Colletta di Castelbianco—one of Italy’s officially designated “most beautiful villages.” Surrounded by olive groves and mountains, here you can enjoy absolute tranquility, Mediterranean sunshine, culinary delights, and the charm of a medieval stone village that was lovingly restored around the year 2000 by architect Giancarlo de Carlo.

Location & Surroundings

Colletta is located just about 25 minutes from the Ligurian Riviera. You can quickly reach the seaside resorts of Albenga, Alassio, or Laigueglia while also enjoying proximity to numerous hiking trails, climbing spots, bike routes, and the Pennavaire River, which is perfect for swimming. Day trips to Genoa, Turin, or Monaco are also possible.

The Village

Colletta is car-free, very well-maintained, and features romantic alleyways, stairways, arcades, and lovingly landscaped green spaces. The vacation rental has its own garage (for vehicles up to the size of a Ford Galaxy), and a shared pool with mountain views and a lifeguard is open from mid-May through the end of September. A small, charming bar in the village center captures the Italian way of life—and during the summer months, it also hosts occasional concerts or events in the piazza.

There are two excellent restaurants (Da Gin and Scola) as well as a small shop for daily necessities in the immediate vicinity.

The Apartment

The high-quality renovated apartment accommodates up to 5 people and features two spacious terraces with a dining table, gas grill, and lounge furniture. Here you can enjoy peace and quiet and the view of the mountains.

Inside, you’ll find:
• a combined living, dining, and kitchen area
• a bedroom with a king-size bed
• a children’s room with a large bunk bed
• two modern bathrooms with showers
• a fully equipped kitchen with an induction cooktop, dishwasher, drip coffee maker, espresso pot, and toaster (no oven)

Notes

Due to its steep paths and stairs, Colletta is not wheelchair accessible. Families with small children should also exercise caution, as some windows and walls are not secured.
