“We were sleeping in a separate little house on the large estate. It was clean and spacious for 3 people. But the reason for only 3 stars: super loud music (the equivalent of a music festival…) on Saturday morning from a barn with cross-fit sessions…; multiple woodlice in the rooms (probably because of the house’s location near horses); fertiliser spread against the building (dry pallets, not fresh…) by tractor working on the adjacent field; very small washing basin without space for toiletries ……

“The host was unfriendly and hadn't turned heat on so was very cold. Kitchen and bathroom had no heat. Terrible shower and refrigerator was worthless owner told us a stick in the freezer. Even her son said this was a nuisance. I would stay at West Cork Hotel in Skiberean again never again at Rineen.”

“The Blue Haven is right in the heart of Kinsale and within walking distance to many pubs and restaurants. Room was clean and well appointed. Good water pressure in the shower. The one downside was being right on the street as it was very noisy until late at night. We ate there for breakfast and it was excellent. We also had dinner one night which was phenomenal. The other downside is parking as you’ll have to first find a spot in either the car park down the street or one of the few spots……
