We were glad that we had the opportunity to speak with you over the phone during your stay and made our best attempts to respond to your needs. We were very sorry to hear there were not enough towels, as the standard for housekeeping is to leave 2 sets of towels in every bathroom. This was inexcusable, and because of this, we had housekeeping respond immediately to bring you more towels. Please know that had we known ahead of time that a member of your party needed a fresh towel daily, we also would have been happy to ensure that special accommodation. We were also not aware that any hair dryers were missing, as this is a standard amenity, and were happy to overnight 3 new hair dryers to the doorstep. As explained when we spoke, we intentionally removed extra blankets, along with other extraneous shared items, a while ago, as a precaution during COVID, and apologized for not being able to get extra blankets to you before check-out. This sparked a discussion and decision for us to start reintroducing items that we had removed due to COVID and have now furnished the home with large, fleece jacquard blankets. We care about our home and the people we share it with, and we pride ourselves on responding quickly to your needs. We have never denied anyone a request that we could fulfill. We are sorry that we were not able to provide those blankets to you in time and are disheartened that you feel you were denied these. It is not in our nature to deny anyone comfort. For any potential renter who may be reading this, we kindly ask that you read through further reviews on how prompt and responsive we are when needed. We would also like to share that our comforters have always been Linenspa: all-season, white down alternative, hypoallergenic, machine washable duvets with washable duvet covers. These comforters are ideal for maintaining cleanliness and all-season comfort in the hopes that no one gets too hot or too cold while sleeping. We even replaced all the duvet covers less than a year ago, and recently replaced all of the bed pillows. We know that Monterey Dunes can get windy and cold, and hope that should you need additional warmth, you feel comfortable using the in-room floor heaters which toast things up quickly. It is our sincere hope that anyone reading this understands that we are a small family sharing our treasured beach home with you, hoping you will make special memories there, as we have. We want it to be easy, enjoyable, and above all, relaxing. As with any business, people can make mistakes, and as with any home, things can go unexpectedly. We work hard to make the masses happy and to pre-empt any mishaps, and we are always diligent to respond when you need something.
