"Great visitor service"

"Bit unsure on arrival as the entrance was behind a big pot leading to a communal yard, but that seems to be the norm in catania, rang the buzzer and got let in. Taken to the room no lift so could be a problem with heavy bag or walking difficulties. The room itself was very nice , spotless but the big thing for us was when we opened the door shutters the view was the hustle and bustle of the street below from the small balcony. Straight across the street was Bellini park , many many cafes and shops underneath and when you look to the right you could see Etna covered in snow large as life between the buildings, what a great sight. We love to people watch so was great for us. If you want it to be really quiet, maybe not for you. We had a great time savio cafe I underneath served great arancina and granita."

"I’ve just spent a week here & it’s a great place, very close to the centre. Constantino, Antonella & Fabrice couldn’t do enough for us guests & were so friendly. Most of the rooms are on the second floor & there isn’t a lift. The stone stairs between the first & second floor are very steep. I was initially on the second floor but after one day was moved to the only guest room on the first floor as I have mobility issues. The staff did this without me even asking, which was so thoughtful. The property is spotlessly clean. On the second floor there is a kitchen which includes an espresso machine. Adjoining the kitchen is a dining area with a microwave. Tables & chairs outside on the balcony really catch the morning sun. I can highly recommend this place. If I can manage the stairs, I’ll definitely stay here again. I was made to feel very welcome & felt very much at home."

"What a beautiful hotel. It’s in a terrific location. Oh, breakfast is included. WOW! So many offerings. It’s all delicious. I ate too much. Lovely space outside to eat your first meal of the day. We stayed 3 nights and reserved one more night before we head home. There is a jacuzzi on the rooftop. We didn’t use it but what a way to unwind after a long trip. There is also a spa to massage. I hope you’ll stay there while in Catania. "

"Friendly and relaxing atmosphere and staff were helpful and offered advice on where to eat/ visit. Honesty bar was great and breakfasts were excellent with loads of choice - would recommend."

"The bedding needs to be majorly upgraded. Need new linens better pillows a stylish comfortable coverlet and better mattress or mattered pad. It was a very uncomfortable sleep for a quite high priced hotel. Also the shower is terrible with mould and rust and it leaks. Breakfast and location are lovely"

"Very nicely renovated space inside a larger older building. More of a B&B than a full service hotel but priced accordingly. Be sure to clarify your arrival time."
