“This was a nightmare. To begin with, the check-in email was not clear and was missed because it came from a random name/address. Then there were no instructions on where to park. But the real fun began at 4:05p when I tried to check-in. They had the envelope with my information but there were no keys in it. They took forever looking for it. “Overall, the stay was good. We didn’t know the basement also being rented out until we dug into the fine print. We only learned there were other guests in the basement from hearing their activity, then their smoke alarm going off from a cooking incident. The keyed locks on either side of the door gave us some peace of mind for privacy & safety, but it wasn’t ideal and felt a little awkward. Previous guests left vaping paraphernalia and tape covering smoke detectors. Some were not reachable, and……

“Good space. Clean. It is a basement unit at a home where the host lives, so there was some upstairs footsteps & activities that are heard down there. Everything was comfortable, but there’s no thermostat down there to adjust the temperature settings, do you are at the mercy of what the host has it set on.Overall good experience.”

“To start with, access to this property during the winter is simply unsafe. You access the property from the back yard. While snow and ice may not be normal in DC, during our stay there was a lot of ice that was not cleared. Very slippery and unsafe. You enter the property through the lower level deck that was very icy. Once in the sliding patio door, you are greeted by vinyl plank flooring with no rugs, so the snow and ice on your shoes melts and runs all over the floor. Now for the……
