RURAL RETREAT close to nature

Trullo Tranquillo is a romantic one bedroom stone trullo sleeps 2, nestling in 1.5 acres of fruit and nut trees in the heart of the beautiful and peaceful Puglian countryside. The perfect place to relax in the quiet surroundings.

The kitchenette is well equipped and the trullo has its own external wood-fired pizza oven with paddle. Enjoy the organic fruits of the trullo's land when in season.

Well located to visit the historic towns of Ceglie Messapica (8km), Martina Franca (12km), Locorotondo (19km), Ostuni (18km) and Alberobello (27km). Superb beaches with crystal clear waters can be reached in around 30 minutes.

Trullo Tranquillo is an easy drive from Brindisi Airport (50 mins) or Bari Airport (1hr 35 mins) which benefit from cheap flights with the budget airline operators.
Less than a ten minute walk from the trullo is the beautiful forest Pineta Ulmo where you can enjoy wonderful walks through the pines and summertime concerts and festivals.

Rückzugsort zum Auftanken und Verarbeiten der Eindrücke
Wir hatten eine sehr angenehme Zeit im Trulli. Trulli und Umgebung sind wunderschön und abgelegen. Von dort aus kann man ausschwärmen und sich alle sehenswerten Orte anschauen oder sich einfach ausruhen und die Ruhe genießen. Die Kontaktaufnahme zur Vermieterin verlief zügig und komplikationslos und der für das Haus zuständige Manager war verlässlich und pünktlich am vereinbarten Ort.

An authentic trullo tastefully renovated to provide small, cozy accommodation
Loved the trullo which provided a good base for exploring the local countryside and major tourist attractions in the area. The trullo was reasonably well equipped for two, but any more would be very cramped.

Einfache Unterkunft für 2
Wir haben 4 Tage in dem ruhig gelegenen Trullo verbracht. Claudia hat uns vor Ort sehr herzlich empfangen und uns mit guten Tipps für Ausflüge in die Umgebung versorgt. Das kleine Steinhäuschen ist nett eingerichtet und einfach, aber zweckmäßig ausgestattet. Durch die dicken Steinmauern bleibt es in den Räumen auch im Hochsommer angenehm kühl, bei allerdings auch hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit. Durch die ländliche Umgebung finden sich auch Spinnen, Tausendfüssler und Insekten im Haus.

Geweldige plek - huis - tuin, een aanrader!
Wat een plek, midden tussen de fruitbomen in grote tuin, en dan ook nog in een originele Trullo. Wel klein natuurlijk, altijd aan je hoofd denken, maar goed voorzien van alle noodzakelijke dingen, een uitstekend bed. Verder leef je toch vooral buiten. Daarin even een klein minpuntje: lekkere kussens voor in de stoelen zou nog beter zijn. Maar ach: het goede leven in Italie geeft veel energie en geluk: prachtige stadjes, lekker eten en enorm veel bloemen. Nog even vermelden: de gastvrouw Claudia is geweldig, staat altijd voor je klaar, spreekt goed Engels en misschien kun je bij haar eten!

Beautiful, rural trullo
We have just had a very relaxing stay in trullo tranquillo. It just wouldn't have been right to holiday in Puglia and not stay in a trullo......and this was a beautiful example. Well kitted out, with everything you need - the pizza oven especially, helped to make this an authentic experience. Set in 1 1/2 acres, the garden feels very private and is well stocked with fruit and nut trees. We enjoyed visiting the nearby towns - Ceglie, the nearest town, was full of character and characters(!) and everyone we came across was friendly and helpful. Thank you Sharon for allowing us to stay in your trullo and thank you to Claudia for all your help. I would recommend this property for anyone wanting a tranquil holiday!

Authentic experience in a great location
Trullo Tranquillo offers a truly authentic experience. Visiting the area and seeing the trulli is nice, but staying in one is something else. The trullo itself is certainly better than basic. The airco was most welcome, especially during the heat wave we experienced. The warm welcome by and hospitality from housekeeper Claudia only added to the fun. The rural area is very quiet. The orchard offers a nice variety of fruit bearing trees. All in all a very recommendable location from which to explore Puglia! A big thank you to Sharon and Claudia

Great place to spend some time to get away from it all!
We had a great stay at the trullo. The near by town was great for an evening drink with the locals all sat in the town square. Everyone was very friendly and helpful would stay again 😁

A beautiful quiet holiday home perfect for relaxation!
The Trullo is beautiful building surrounded by the Italian countryside. The property has all the modern features of a home in a great layout and set-up. The Pizza Oven was great fun to try out and the property is not too far from nearby towns. A sat-nav is a good idea as the roads and country lanes all do look quiet similar! Thank you Sharon for a lovely peaceful holiday.
