"Clean room. Smelly bathroom. Friendly staff. Older building."

"Overall average stay. Problems included: no microwave, really warm room at some points with no solution as AC system couldn't be controlled by the staff (?), hot water got cut off multiple times in the room so couldn't shower, no locks on bathroom door, lack of hangers and hooks, and a bad toilet flush. Breakfast was decent, not too much variety and quite repetitive, but catering staff were very nice - they cooked vegetarian options if you asked. Room cleaning staff were also nice. Hotel staff in the reception weren't though."

"The Strand is in a great location and the staff are awesome! Stayed 3 nights and everyone was great and very accommodating. Plenty of food within 10 min walk, Ubers took 3ish mins to arrive and the desk was manned 24 hours so it felt quite safe. Highly recommend the strand!"
