Sprawling, conveniently located mid-century home

The home was absolutely lovely. Private and quiet yet easy access to hit the road and explore. Lots of spaces for people to spread out to. Pictures online accurately represent the property. We'd stay here again next time we are back in the area.

Large house for a family- “lake” is more of a pond & I-5 is directly across. Not picturesque if that’s what you’re expecting. Bedrooms and baths were clean and well stocked. Kitchen - not so much. Lots of dishes and silverware. Kurre’s only- but they do supply k cups. Creamer also, but was well past its expiration date!

Incredible home in Centrailia WA

Our stay was nothing less than fabulous! Pictures do not do this home justice - it is so much more beautiful. Seven of us enjoyed staying here as well as friends from the area who dropped in for a moment. The house is very large and spread out - we were never in each others' way or heard anything after a few of us went to bed early -- the basement rec room with the pool table is far, far away from every other levels. The three outside decks included amazing views (freeway noise outside yes but inside not at all!). Everything ... just PERFECT for our group. We were so happy to be able to stay here and hope to stay here again at some point. Thanks to the hosts and VACASA for making our trip!

Great House, Kitchen Not well stocked

The house itself is great. It has a lot of room and we were very comfortable. Communication was terrible. I rented the house using VRBO and the was no replies via the VRBO app and neither directly from the provided Vacasa cell number. The kitchen was not well stocked. There was enough cups, plates, and silverware. But there was only one large pot for a house that sleeps 12. We had to split our meal between one pot (for rice) and many sauté pans (the main dish). There was no can opener, no coffee cone, no working light in the refrigerator.

Large home-missing some details…

Our short stay was interrupted by plumbers showing up after owner said they were cancelled at our request since we were getting ready for elderly visitors. No coffee, 1/2 of house not heated due to malfunctioning heating system. Porch light didn’t work, making it difficult for 93 year old to navigate steps.

Large, comfortable home.

This house is very spacious with plenty of nooks and rooms for the families to spread out. The furniture was nice and clean. Having two separate thermostats confused us the first night (and it got cold in the kitchen!), but we figured it out. As it was winter, we didn't go outside much. One morning we had a cup of coffee and counted the number of Semi-Trucks that drove by on I-5 in 10 minutes (45!). Yes, it is in your backyard on the other side of the lake. Quiet inside the house, though! You wouldn't know you were on I-5 except for the distant lights zooming by. A few nitpicks: the kitchen is very poorly stocked beyond the basics and very disorganized. Lots of empty cabinets and drawers, cutting boards found in four places, zero wine glasses, no coffee pot/French Press (only Keurig), one medium serving bowl besides cereal bowls and a very eclectic collection of knives/spatulas. Refrigerator had no light and in an area that is already dark. We were left no kitchen trashbags, only small cheap clear ones that barely fit top half of the can. The use of the mis-matched LED/Fluorescent bulbs was difficult. It was fine during the day with the lights off (thanks to lots of natural window light) but at night you had every color of the spectrum together and they were all bare bulb chandeliers/spot lights. It was very hard on the eyes and heads! The local contact works another job and isn't the easiest to get ahold of. We made do as we were only there 3 nights. If these issues were addressed, the house would be fabulous!

Lake house in the “City”

I decided to throw something together last minute as usual for Labor Day weekend and got real lucky finding this listing. Though it was on the upper end of my budget, given it was last minute and wanting to get my family together, it was well worth it. We had a hiccup with the door code when checking in but the property company and owner quickly helped. This was an older home but recently patched up and renovated. Very spacious and entertaining. Ping pong table, pool table, and fishing is what most of us liked. The lake is a behind the house down a somewhat steep set set of stairs. It leads you to a nice little concrete pad with a fire pit and plenty of chairs to fish and relax. I wanted to use my inflatable boat but it was too far and steep to carry down. There were a few items that should be addressed/fixed. The first is the TV, it ended up not working (froze) + guidance on whether the projector system was free to use. The second item that needs to be addressed were the couches by the pool table. The backing kept falling off making it uncomfortable and at times a safety hazard. The last item would be the sound system. It was a such a cool feature and if we knew how to work it, would have enhanced our stay. In summary, we would stay again. A nice little getaway that is still close to everything.
