Impressive, attractive old estate, fair price. Beautiful pool and grounds. Good WiFi despite the sprawling house footprint. A few very fancy rooms. Pretty views from every bedroom. Very responsive hostess.

Superb house and pool

We had the most amazing holiday in this beautiful chateau. We were x4 families and the house was extremely comfortable with plenty of activities to keep the kids and adults entertained (table tennis, foosball, swimming pool, extensive grounds for football, walks etc). The swimming pool is beautiful and we were lucky with the weather and thankfully there is plenty of space indoors to retreat into when it is very hot outside! Valerie was extremely helpful and friendly. It was so nice to see deer and red squirrels in the grounds. The bar has been set very high for future holidays!

excellent Week-end d'Ascension

La maison est très grande au milieu d'un grand parc très bien entretenu. Les chambre sont spacieuses et surtout toutes les salles de bains ont été rénovées. Nous étions 22 personnes dont 18 adultes et 10 enfants et tout c'est très bien passé

Un week-end fabuleux dans un château fantastique ⚜️

Nous avons passé un weekend absolument fantastique dans le château de Valérie. Les lieux sont d’une grande beauté, au delà de nos espérances. Je trouve que la photo de la façade ne rend pas complètement honneur au château qui est bien plus beau et impressionnant en vrai. J’ai loué ce château pour célébrer mes 30 ans avec une vingtaine d’amis, et Valérie a été d’une très grande aide et gentillesse pour m’aider à organiser un dîner de fête en organisant tout avec un traiteur et en trouvant deux serveuses pour la soirée. Je recommande très chaudement La Gauchetière pour un week-end, voir plus étant donné la quantité d’activité disponible au sein du château et de son parc (piscine chauffée, tir a l’arc, pétanque, ping pong etc…) Une expérience inoubliable à tout point de vue et des 30 ans qui resteront en mémoire !

magnifique demeure avec un cachet conservé lors des travaux de rénovation

lieu inoubliable ne pas hésiter à le réserver pour des réunions en famille ou entre amis la piscine chauffée et le parc sont les atouts principaux mais il y'a aussi bon nombre d activités en intérieur.

The Sutton Family from Yorkshire.

How lucky we were to find Chateau La Gauchetiere after two years of boring lock down. With a good choice of comfortable hotel standard bedrooms and bathrooms, acres of parkland to explore, a lovely swimming pool in the walled garden and a spacious terrace on which to enjoy long leisurely lunches, what more could a British family ask for. Valerie spoke fluent English & was helpful throughout.

Week-end familial comme chez soi.

Très belle propriété. Idéal pour un week-end familial. Grand nombre de chambre et salles de bain. Le grand salon est magnifique.
