“A group of us went to celebrate a 40th birthday. This place was everything we were looking for. It was very secluded with no neighbors in sight! There were 11 of us and 2 dogs. We did a lot of fishing and paddle boarding (the boat and 2 paddle boards were provided at no extra cost!). Being from the city we all really enjoyed star gazing and we all saw shooting stars. The house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked and there was laundry on site. 10/10 would recommend staying here and we hope to……

“We travelled to the area for my daughter's graduation from NMU. This property was a beautiful relaxation retreat from the busy happens of the weekend. Whether it was relaxing outside by the fire or hanging in the basement/game room, it was the perfect location away from all the people in town for the weekend. Check-in/check-out was seamless and communication was easy. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend to friends.”

“This older house made us feel at home. The view over the lake is amazing. We got a perfect view of a double rainbow from the hot tub. The fenced yard allowed us to bring our dogs making the trip that much easier. The house had some work being done on it, but I was impressed with how the work, though in progress, never detracted from our stay. The real magic of this VRBO is its location. We brought our bikes and rode the path up the shoreline to Presque Isle and back. Careful, that trip is more……

“This simple, no-frills, property was close to everything! We could walk to NMU campus, downtown, and lots of cafes right down the block. As noted in the listing, it is right across the street from BlackrocksBrewery, so we could hear music from our rooms and a little bit of street noise from people leaving. There was a fan provided, that helped with white noise, so everyone was able to sleep OK.”

“The house has been updated and has a very nice upstairs bathroom. Hosts have attention to detail; artsy decorations, games for kids and adults, reading material, wood swing, fire pit, etc. As pics show, decks in front and side of house as well as sun room for chilly mornings or inclement weather. Kitchen well supplied with cooking utensils. We felt very welcome. Lack of internet and poor cell service (our phones are mvno) made communication difficult but who goes to Big Bay Michigan for……

“This was my second trip staying at this home. The host is very responsive and pleasant to work with. The home is clean, cozy and is stocked with small amenities such as spices, antibiotic ointment, bug spray and recreation maps of the area. I visit Big Bay multiple times a year this is now the first place I check for availability!”
